Aren't these free if you enquire about an Over-60s plan?

I got mine free with a 3 month trial of the Spectator magazine.

I carefully sanded off the logo and the tory rag went straight to recycling unopened.

The pen has so far outlasted 4 prime ministers.

Thanks, my lad has just finished primary school, he can have a nice pen for year 7 and can try his best to keep it for the whole 5 years. I’ve still got mine from +20 years 😁

Come on guys, no mention of the Berol Handwriting pens. Once you've your pen writing licence it's got to be Berol no?

Thanks OP, picked up a couple of these last time round! No way near as well made as the ones I remember having at school (I'm 39) but still great all the same

2x more ordered today - no excuse for not having a pen to hand now...

I'm sure zebra pens write better than parkers? (edited)

I did a job the other week at which I had to sign in, and was handed a fountain pen to do so. Commented on it and was told that it was "to bring a bit of decorum to the day".

I remember as a kid how these Parker pens were aspirational. Not sure what the big deal was. They sure looked nicer than a Bic, but I just find them much scratchier in feel and ink than a trusty Bic. (edited)

I've got stacks of these from the days when Michael Parkinson used to advertise Sun Alliance insurance.

Plastic does feel low quality, not like the old school ones as is the case with many things now.

Still a decent performer for the price. I have a red and a navy from previous deals.
    stubeemer's avatar
Agreed they definitely feel low quality and plasticky. Metal is super thin too and snaps easily if your a pen fiddler Just paying for the name now imo (edited)

Any good places to buy refills? thanks

Ebay from a Chinese seller maybe, and buy 10 at a time.

Can you get a large point refill?
  25. sufy123's avatar
How so compared to this deal?

Off at a tangent. I seem to remember one of the bic pens being a good writer. The yellow one with black lid, it may of been a finer tip. I just remember liking writing with them. Sorry for the ramble.

Thank you, ordered I love these pens

Just use a pencil. And if someone mentions it can be erased - just hide all the erasers.
  33. Hatsune_MikuwBK's avatar
Used to have some of these quite a few years back now but have since moved on to better pens like the Pentel Energel X series. Much better writing experience.
