Hone your fishing skills:
Variable weather and water conditions will affect the fishes’ behaviour, so you’ll need to master a wide variety of special lures and angling techniques to catch the one that got away. Are you fishing in the morning? Try a surface lure. Is it hot out? Better drop to cooler water.

I have never played this, is it button bashing to reel the fish in?

If you're using a controller (I assume it's roughly similar for a keyboard) you pull one of the triggers to reel in - one reels fast, the other slower, and you use the stick to move your rod around and regulate tension on the line. So no, no hammering on buttons.

Use the same email but put a . between one of the letters and the site will treat it like a new email, even though it goes to the same account

awww....only dreamcast to usb converter for controllers I could find was £30. Guess I won't be dusting off my DC fishing rod.

The rod/normal DC controllers and the convertor will not work with this PC port, but will however work perfectly with the Flycast DC emulator. I have a DC, still, but I have used one of the cheap DC to usb convertors from AliExpress with Flycast on PC, and they work perfectly.

I remember that you were able to be use the fishing rod controller to play Soul Calibur.

If you love SEGA Bass (and you should), don't skip on SEGA Marine Fishing. It's this, but on LSD. It's amazing.

    Cheers

Make sure to verify your email otherwise they won't send you a code.

I remember buying this for my dad when I was about 15. He wasn’t a gamer at all but a very keen fisherman. He either genuinely liked it or made me genuinely believe he did.

He passed away 13 years ago but just seeing this has made me reminisce and smile.

Still got my rod and original game on my Dreamcast!

Lovely stuff. I can enjoy the game with a normal pad, but the rod really is the true way to get the most from the SEGA DC fishing games. Far better implementation than the terrible Wii port, too.

Every time I hear Sega Bass Fishing, this is all I think of.

Sega Marine Fishing is still my favourite fishing game... no it's not realistic but great fun, especially with the Dreamcast rod, a group of mates, and a few beers! (edited)

Do not play this game, become VEGAN

Presume you're joking? I play fishing games, am a vegetarian, and have no intention to fish. Much the same as playing GTA has not resulted in me stealing cars ; )
