About this event
James are a British rock band from Manchester, England. They formed in 1982 and were active throughout the 1980s, but most successful during the 1990s. Their hit singles include "Come Home", "Sit Down", and "She''s a Star" as well as their American college radio hit "Laid". Following the departure of lead singer Tim Booth in 2001, the band became inactive but re-formed in January 2007, returning for a new album and international tour. Up to 2010, the band had sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.

I went to see James at Liverpool Poly in the late 1980s. I had no idea who the support act were: turned out to be Happy Mondays shortly before they became massive. Was a great evening.

Ha ha I went to see David Bowie in the late 80's at Maine Road and I had no idea who the support was....turns out it was James, lots of sweatshirts and T shirts that just had "Sit Down" on them ! They are great as I saw them again last year.

James are a great live act. Bargain at £11.

The following week First Aid Kit are playing and you can get cheap tickets for them as well on the website. They play them on 6 Music.

As someone who recently spent £150 on a couple of James orchestral tickets I'd say this is a bargain, saw Happy Mondays 2-3 years ago too and they were fine although Shaun Ryder has had a tough paper round.
