    One important thing to point out is do NOT throw sticks for dogs. Yes I know this is a ball throwing deal but I see many people still throwing sticks for their dogs, NEVER do this >

    To be fair by the time you've pumped the air into it, you could have thrown and and have your dog bring it back. I'm after a cheap auto one where it gets fired, and the dog dumps it back in the top and it gets fired again (I'm not lazy but my rescue dog is obsessed with chasing his ball, hes sat next to me now huffing as I've not thrown it. I was up this morning at 3am for work, he was there huffing as i wasn't throwing it, I just want a break from throwing it)

    A simple ball thrower can be had for a couple of quid. They go plenty far enough with little effort and they weigh next to nothing.
