Quidco and their terms. Meet all their t&c and you won't meet the last one 'we tricked you'

Not only 'the magician' can do tricks, Quidco can tooooo!! 😜😜😜

My cashback from Townsend Music became payable and the £10 was added on top, thanks.

Almost forgot about this. I’ll have to check mine too.

A new low from Quidco. Most likely allow 20,000 non-emailed "worth a punt" folk to opt in from this post, who all buy something, and they then don't have to pay any bonuses.

Paid out today for me. Ignore what it says in the new terms and conditions about targeted emails and that you may be able to opt-in but won’t get paid the bonus. I had 5 bonuses (£50) paid out today! I only received one of the emails
    MattMac's avatar
Mine was also paid out yesterday. Those who skip these deals and say they never pay are really missing out.
  10. davidian84's avatar
Also if you opt in before midnight you may lose eligibility
    lego.findr's avatar
    Is that in the terms?
  11. manicmidlander's avatar
I got the email but we'll see if they actually pay out.

Any tips on the cheapest thing to buy and have it track? Can't really think of anything right now!
    RandomUser42's avatar
I found a 29p code on CDKeys that has tracked at 1p.

Cold from me; these T&Cs are intentionally unclear and as a result are probably not legal.
Are Quidco losing so much market share that they need to stoop this low, trying to con their own customers?
That's a great way to lose even quicker.

This deal should be removed from HUKD, as by definition anyone clicking through from here will NOT qualify for the £10 bonus.

How exactly is this a con? I've had similar offers to this paid by Quidco at least 10 times with no issue. I'd say Quidco are doing fairly well considering they were sold to Moneysupermarket for over £100M less than 2 years ago.

This one is slightly different than the others in that it states it's only for those who got an email but it's not the fault of Quidco that it's being shared here.
  14. xbox-360-elite's avatar
Not sure I've ever received an email from Quidco with an offer!
  15. Moody_Cloud's avatar
I can't remember the last time I got an email from Quidco and I've signed up for their marketing emails. It's literally been years. Any bonus I ever get is by seeing it through here. (edited)
  16. Redoblivion's avatar
Wonder how many members do they con so they can pay up for these "selected" bonuses.
Ended up closing my account after being continuously ripped off. Perfectly valid purchases rejected far too often despite evidence simply because retailers say so and Quidco allowing it to happen over and over.
Never an issue with TCB. If a purchase doesn't track, I simply submit a claim and it's sorted.
Quidco, in comparison, tells you to get lost so I got lost.
To say that a cashback is not guaranteed is not good enough.
Good luck to anyone still trusting Quidco as someone on here called it *Quidcon*
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Lol, the first rule of cashback is it's not guaranteed.
No cashback is guaranteed until the retailer pays up.
Declines can happen for many reasons, and often not the retailer, Quidco or TCB fault.
If you don't understand that, probably best you avoid the stress.

Over 10 years, I've had nearly 100% success from both Quidco and TCB with my cashbacks and bonuses. And on the odd occasion I've needed to raise tickets, they've always been dealt with correctly.
Never been told to "get lost", you must have really upset them!

It looks like it’s targeted, so the £10 bonus may not be paid out, despite opting in.

Just use it if buying something cheap anyway then if don't get it who cares.
    lego.findr's avatar
Yep, if no minimum then no loss just making an order.

Thanks OP. Don't know whether to buy less than a quid. (edited)
    JoShmo's avatar
I'd do £1.21 to be safe as knowing them they won't include the vat.
  25. lego.findr's avatar
Why do they limit it to 1800 and then target people via emails? How many emails did they send hmm ? Strange one, but worth a shot. (edited)

Can you opt in to both the £10 and £20?
    kar999's avatar
If you get both you'll need two separate purchases. That's how it worked with the £5 & £10 offers last week.
  31. jules888's avatar
Cant believe theres another one..No email anyway.
  32. A1M's avatar
Last one not even tracked yet and it's been a week.

Flag it as missing. I had one like this and they sorted it
  33. frrft's avatar
Does anyone know how long these bonuses take to pay out? weeks or months ?
    shan01's avatar
with Quidco takes months and months & months.

    EndemicAlarm's avatar
Ah, say what? They'd have 1800 opt-ins before the promotion day had arrived?

I'm thinking something was wrong and they pulled it.

    £10 showing in pending
    anuruddha's avatar
Is it tracked and attached to the bonus
  37. infectious's avatar
Mine's still pending too, purchased on CDKeys which did track.
    Thar's avatar
Mine has but it doesn't link to the bonus until a while after it tracks, have you checked again since?
  38. Turret-Buddy's avatar
Last £10 bonus took nearly 3 months to be payable
  39. Tubbywuppet's avatar
    Well here we go again.

I stopped using Quidco in favour of Topcashback as often had cashback not track or declined.

The £10 bonus tempted me back. Opted in successfully and made purchase and £10 showing in my tracking. But subsequent purchase hasn't tracked. I have submitted a claim, but if this doesn't work I wont use Quidco again whatever "bonus" they offer as it doesn't mater what the value is if they find away to decline.

    I will update with outcome.
    baldybob's avatar
    Which merchant did you use?
Oddly enough, my tracking with Quidco this year, has been perfect.
Although, I don't use cashback sites as much as I once did.
    Other options available now.

I made a purchase from H&B, it didn't track so made a second purchase from them, thst didn't track either, so made a purchase from Wilko which did track and the £10 bonus was associated with it, but now Wilko has gone bust!! (edited)
    TehJumpingJawa's avatar
I wouldn't worry, Quidco will probably be going bust before these bonuses pay out
