The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a summer tyre designed for high performance vehicles such as executive, sports and super cars. Replacing the EfficientGrip Performance this tyre has been engineered with new and exclusive features that allow it to have 20% more mileage.

Mileage Plus technology

Excellent mileage is achieved with Mileage Plus technology. This technology features a higher elasticity tread that results in less fractures when driving over rough roads, giving you increased mileage and durability.

Wet Braking Technology

This tyre offers a shorter braking distance on wet and dry roads without compromising on performance, and the larger ribs at the centre ensure excellent handling and smooth vehicle control.

Increased stability

Increased stability is achieved by the placement of larger ribs at the centre of the tread to ensure higher stiffness.

This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

Great tyres, very low road noise and great wet performance.

100% agree. Very well rounded (no pun - as in braking, turning, stopping) and great in the wet. Also long lasting. (edited)

Same price in Halfords - are National, Halfords, and Tyresonthedrive all connected???

However, with Halfords you can join their motoring club to get a £5 voucher.........you may also be able to buy discounted Giftcards - the civil service employer scheme (EXEC?) lets me buy instant eVouchers at 10% off.

Should bring the price down to ~£246.

Topcashback 4.2% or Quidco 5% might also be possible (though unlikely imo).

Sorry if that sounds convoluted - I just bought some in 225/55/R17 for my car (more expensive, but still by far the cheapest deal around) - I used the 0% over 12 months offer too.

*It is Tyresonthedrive that are putting them on my car. (edited)

I don't know about you guys but these car websites should have a "input your car registration below to see if these tyres are compatible with your car".

I mean EuroCarParts do it on their website when buying any of their gear.

I know someone is going to say check your car manual but what if you have misplaced it

Most websites have that so you can compare or look on the old tyre to get the spec.

    So supercars have 16" wheels?

Why are there never deals for 195/50 R16 from any major tyre brand?
    MOJOoo7's avatar
My car tyres are 195/55/16 though I will put this size on when that is done as I rather have 205mm and it's cheaper by £30 a corner. Speedo will still be fine.

Gutted these are V rated, our car has W rated fitted. Not sure if wise to mix or detract from oem spec, with insurance in mind

    When does the deal end?
    McPhee87's avatar
Halfords/National usually rotate their offers every few weeks. This one has only recently begun (it was Bridgestone, Continental and Avon earlier in July IIRC).

Decent chance Halfords wind up being cheaper if you don't mind paying for Motoring Club Premium, as you get 5% off before any other discounts. Saved me £25 vs National (albeit a different size of tyre). You can even have National fit the tyres if you wish (my local National Tyres branch are doing mine on Monday). (edited)

I'll need a couple for the rear ready for winter of this size, paid 138 for the 2 fronts at KwikFit a year ago so I'm going to hang on for slightly better price, decent deal if you need them now though
