Cheapest whey I could find online. Not used this company before, and no reviews of this product, so risking the flavour a bit, but for this price, I think it's worth it. I'll add a comment once I've tried it.

Any info if it's from grass fed cows or cheap stuff from across the Atlantic?
    CroMoly's avatar
‘Grass-fed’ isn’t a legal definition. However, AFAIK, in the UK and much of the EU livestock such as cows are invariably grass-fed to varying degrees i.e. the livestock are free to munch on pasture grasses for some of the day. Some more than others (organic milk and meats I think get more pasture time). Farmers then supplement the diet with grains etc to varying degrees. In America though, where meat and milk production is generally more mechanised (more grain feeding), the amount of grass feeding MAY be less unless labelled grass fed or organic.

And just because it is grass fed doesn't mean it aint given hormones and jib jabbed. Organic however, in the UK and EU at least, AFAIK, means no hormones and no jib-jabs. (edited)

I opened a 10 year old tub recently and consumed it. Was dry, smelled fine.. dry powdered things tend not to grow bacteria. I often bulk buy vitamins and minerals and consume a year or 5 beyond sell or use by.. I often snap up protein powders that are just past BBE or near it - I bought about 30 tubs recently of One Pro Whey at about £3 per 900g tub.. all are now out of date by a few months but I will consume one a week until gone..

But I realise I am an outlier here.

£20 for 2kg is a good price. I tend to keep an eye out on Amazon/BBW/Bulk and snap up protein powders when there is a sale.. usually BBW or BULK... (edited)

Any idea when Bulk will have a bigger sale? Currently £20 a kg even on "sale"...

There's also banana, strawberry and vanilla available at the same price.

Acesulfam K as a sweetener and other rubbish ingredients. It's a pass for me.

What would you recommend instead for around the same price range? (edited)

Hard to tell what you're getting when the product isn't independently tested - the protein can be understated

Same as anything in life I guess, why we were eating horse for a while

18.75 grams of protein per 25g serving

Seems pretty good value given current prices of protein , I've been generally paying 15-20 quid for 1kg. Worth a try and heat 🔥

This is whey cheaper than anywhere else, even with shipping. Thanks, ordered

isin't it bad to have all these flavours? I don't understand, surely you'd want unflavoured and unsweetened, else it's just really unhealthy and not worth the 'gains'
    PaddyBB28's avatar
    Lol not really

Worth updating the title to include the other flavours too. I've given the vanilla a punt, protein content seems good for the price point so going to give it a try! Thanks OP

    Seems decent enough.

I bought the vanilla not so long ago. Bit sweet but a really nice whey taste, more so than Bulk (I think it was) unflavoured whey powder.

FYI tastes good, and mixes well (I always use a nutri bullet)
  22. sja979's avatar
How do you work out how much powder ratio to mix with milk or whatever else you mix it with?
    CardboardCutout's avatar
It's based entirely on preference and the kind of protein powder. Start with 250ml water with 25g of protein powder and change the amount of water until you have a consistency you enjoy
