    This or the Samsung T7?

I'd go for this, since you can just crack open the enclosure and it contains a normal 2280 NVMe drive (for example, if the USB-C connector gets damaged). With the T7, the chips are soldered directly to the board, so if the USB-C connector gets damaged, no way to recover the data.

It's cheaper to get a 1tb crucial nvme for around £35 or 2tb for around the £75 mark & then buy an Orico NVME enclosure for under £18

Good price, but be aware that in the last months there have been many reports, eg from arstechnica about sandisk extreme and extreme pro ssd s failing and losing all data. Apparently sandisk has issued a firmware update to address the issue.

I did not take the rossk and bought a Samsung T7 but is someone wants a sandisk, then this is a good price for 2TB

Great price, just a bit of a delay with the 2 TB. I’ve cancelled an order with Western Digital and ordered on Amazon. Thanks OP.

Thanks for the heads up on this potential issue, my 2TB SSD arrived early and is working great for now, will keep a backup of my backup in that case.
