I don't get this website, all I get to choose is either September to October or October to December. No specific dates, upgrades or anything

You book the voucher through it is on then when you get the email voucher to go on to the ferry's website and select dates there. below are the available dates when I booked about an hour ago for the Oct/Dec one

Does anyone know if this includes any food (the fact it's not mentioned I'm assuming not included)? If not do people know approximate food and drink cost?
    Numb3r_47's avatar
This doesn't include food. You can normally pay a bit extra before checkout to get breakfast or meals included. The restaurant is about £35 for a two course meal. The buffet is about £25. The breakfast is about £12. The food is decent but you could always take food onboard with you to save money. Same with alcohol, but they normally do random searches of your bags. The "night club" onboard is an experience though!

Couple of questions... Could I book the deal for two but go on my own?
How long is the coach transfer to Amsterdam.. Don't do well on public transport. Oh how much to park car at Newcastle? Blue badge holder exemption? Thanks (edited)

I went a couple months back coach is about 35-40 mins

It's an extra £18 to upgrade from bunk bed to double 😁

    Hasnt amsterdam banned Cruises ?
Sure I read something like that online

It doesn't go to Amsterdam, just a port nearby. Same at this end, the port is at North Shields.

biggest scam going. They charge £120 for 4 people to eat in the restaurant then drive the boat head first into the biggest waves they can so that everyone feels sick and they doesn't get to eat any food.

Yeah, that time of year gets micey with the weather. If the weathers good alls we’ll… but if you have a rough crossing either way and it can stay with you for days….. there’s a reason it’s cheap.

Good find OP. Only 5 hours in Amsterdam. Champion to treat this as couple of saucy nights at sea. Mind you, it's bunk beds unless you up your stakes! 🚢

Then me n my mate nearly got arrested because we saw of her fella when he started thowing punches at my mates missus

All our kids thought it was hilarious tho (edited)

    Thanks, OP

Not sure how I managed it but I booked £76 x 2 (Me and my sister with a cabin each), went ahead and booked and the price was showing the base price as £58 rather than £76 so I went ahead with my booking first and added Dinner each way (£23x2) and the bus transfers (£9). I prepared to pay £55 extra for this but when I went to check out it only charged me £37 for the extras so it gave me the £18 difference between the £76 voucher and the £58 price shown for the cruise.

Done this twice as had to book my sister and it did the same so it turned out to be a better deal

FYI when looking at other dates it was showing the base price of like £106. I booked 23rd/24th October.

Now if I went all the way through with no extras there would be no extra charge but would have wasted the £18 extra credit (plus I wanted to secure the price so did not want to mess about too much).

The mind boggles, but well done!

Only 5 hours in Amsterdam? That's a rushed visit, but I reckon still just enough time to visit a coffee shop to get high, then to a bar to get drunk and have half an hour with a stunner in a window room heat from me!

For the three a bit hours you get in the town, this just isnt worth the money.

The last time i got off the ship, i got into the town at 11.30. the bus was at 3pm.

    Cold.

Waste of time tour, carbon foot print increasing for capitalists with little benefit.

Does it mean I can take 2 kids as long as one is under 3?

I think it could be 1 adult, 1 child and 1 infant. Might be best to ask itison before buying the voucher though

Do we need Visa to go into Amsterdam ? I am not British Citizen
    marcus.vong's avatar
That depends on the citizenship you have, nothing to do with the operator. There are many places online that you can consult what you need.

I went a couple of months ago can’t go wrong for the money.
In packed picnick snacks sandwiches food etc also water and fizzy drinks .
Get all the booze you want from duty free and get trashed ( a 3 bottle box of wine was £10 ) it’s all cheap .
Tip get in the Q to get off early as passport control takes ages so if your at the back that’s an hour out of your trip in Amsterdam wasted .
Rooms are basic but shower was fine walls are thin but it’s crazy cheap.
Nice trip across we got about 5 hours in Dam ticked a bunch of box’s where I wanted to visit but obviously it’s a short trip..
The one from Hull is twice as long in Amsterdam but generally more expensive
  16. gordo1964's avatar
With the P&O one, you used to be able to put a night in a hotel in the middle.
  17. martypoojm's avatar
I can't get it for that price, it's wanting another 80+ what am I doing wrong plz 🙏

Can I stay and book the return a day after?
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    I guess so.
Just no-show on the return leg, and make alternative plans, stay as many days as you like. (edited)

Hot UK Deals cruise meet all your favourite famous avatars

I just can't with this - you buy the voucher before seeing the available dates and all the coach and chance of a choppy crossing.

You can fly back via Dublin for £40. Flights out maybe £60 the same way.

Do u need a passport as I don't have one and would love to go
    Scotty88's avatar
    Yes you need a passport

Having already flown to Amsterdam previously, I did this with a friend a few years ago and regretted not flying again.

There was far too much travelling in comparison to time spent at the destination, and in comparison with childhood trips on North Sea Ferries to Rotterdam, the boat wasn't particularly enjoyable.

I'd suggest this deal is only worthwhile for those living in the north east or taking children who love boats and public transport, at best.
  24. ZVO4Freedom's avatar
It works out quite expensive after food/breakie. Cheaper to book a med cruise with this included for approx £60/night
  25. amanda.lamb's avatar
We have booked voucher and trying to pick days but it's saying we have to pay for the bus transfers is this right as it says transfers are included can someone please help
  26. deleted1945554's avatar
Such a shame to waste two nights in a ferry cabin and five hours in Amsterdam.

I prefer the inverse and to spend at least two nights in NL and five hours max travelling (fly or Eurostar).
  27. apswfc's avatar
How would this work for a family of 4? Would we have to book two cabins or could we share a room with two bunk beds?
    deleted1945554's avatar
Applying logic here, if one could book 10 people into a 4 berth, I suspect the operator isn't going to see the funny side. That's my guess, of course.
