I have stayed at this hotel for work. It is a lovely hotel in a great location only 5 minutes walk from the subway station.
My only observation was that there were not enough plug sockets in the room, If I didnt travel with multiplugs I would not have been able to charge a phone and run a laptop at the same time.

Unfortunately not very unusual. Especially annoying when you visit a newly refurbished hotel and they still don’t stick any extra sockets in

I just pack a UK multi socket extension with a country specific adapter now. That way you don’t have your devices dotted around the room, wherever you can find a socket. (edited)

If you are near a subway then will be fine. They come every 3/4mins and you can buy a 3 day travel pass for about £12/13 which will also cover your transfer to/from airport as includes all buses/trams as well as subway

You know where you can get the passes? Maybe can pre book before we go?

Unless things have changed since I stayed there the swimming pool/spa is only free for 2 hours in the middle of the day when you'd normally be out sightseeing. You can't choose the 2 hours to suit yourself. Decent hotel overall. I'd say more 4 star.

Don't listen to all the people saying this is too far from Old Town Square. I currently live in Prague and the hotel is right next to Vyšehrad which is usually overlooked by tourists and is beautiful. Once in Vyšehrad it's s short walk to the river and some cool boat bars and markets. We went to a cool daytime Colombian party there on Saturday. So much fun The hotel is only 18 mins on the tram from Old Town Square. Prague's transport system is voted the second best in Europe. Also, Old Town Square is super busy and noisy so you probably don't want to stay there anyway. This is a great deal for someone who wants to save a few quid. Btw Prague is the most amazing city. Will be sad to leave in a few weeks! (edited)

Seconding SL7's comments. I was walking on the walls of Vysehrad on Sunday and it's a great spot. Also try dinner at U Kroka at the bottom of Vysehrad, excellent Czech food. You can walk down to the river at Vyton, there's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as a vietnamese street market with great food and a few floating bars and restaurnts on ships on the river. I’ve stayed here. Lovely hotel obviously a 5* hotel in Prague is a bit different from what you’d get in different country, but still one of the best you can get in the city. Ubers are super cheap to and from the old town, the view from the pool in the morning was absolutely stunning. Can’t fault it. 50706739-F5KU4.jpg

I've found Bolt is a bit cheaper and more realiable than Uber in Prague, worth checking both apps if you need a ride.

long way from the old town square.

This is a good hotel if you're there on a conference, otherwise it's a no-no.

I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss. I was at a conference but there were plenty of tour groups in there too. Yes its 15 minutes on the subway from old town, but the tickets are cheap and taking the old communist built subways is half the charm of Eastern Europe. Personally given how much more rowdy the Old Town would be and how much more expensive ,I would jump on the excellent priced deal. Prague is so much more than old world charm, its left field too. Some of the best Korean food I have eaten in Europe and not to mention the unbridled joy of having beer delivered to your table by train at Výtopna Railway Restaurant - Wenceslas Square

Really good. You don't have to fly there, you can take the train from London and change in Brussels, for those who hate flying (like me!) or want a more scenic trip.
