sorted byHow long is the coach transfer to Amsterdam.. Don't do well on public transport. Oh how much to park car at Newcastle? Blue badge holder exemption? Thanks (edited)

All our kids thought it was hilarious tho (edited)
Not sure how I managed it but I booked £76 x 2 (Me and my sister with a cabin each), went ahead and booked and the price was showing the base price as £58 rather than £76 so I went ahead with my booking first and added Dinner each way (£23x2) and the bus transfers (£9). I prepared to pay £55 extra for this but when I went to check out it only charged me £37 for the extras so it gave me the £18 difference between the £76 voucher and the £58 price shown for the cruise.
Done this twice as had to book my sister and it did the same so it turned out to be a better deal
FYI when looking at other dates it was showing the base price of like £106. I booked 23rd/24th October.
Now if I went all the way through with no extras there would be no extra charge but would have wasted the £18 extra credit (plus I wanted to secure the price so did not want to mess about too much).

The last time i got off the ship, i got into the town at 11.30. the bus was at 3pm.
Cold.
In packed picnick snacks sandwiches food etc also water and fizzy drinks .
Get all the booze you want from duty free and get trashed ( a 3 bottle box of wine was £10 ) it’s all cheap .
Tip get in the Q to get off early as passport control takes ages so if your at the back that’s an hour out of your trip in Amsterdam wasted .
Rooms are basic but shower was fine walls are thin but it’s crazy cheap.
Nice trip across we got about 5 hours in Dam ticked a bunch of box’s where I wanted to visit but obviously it’s a short trip..
The one from Hull is twice as long in Amsterdam but generally more expensive
Museums and Canals.
Just no-show on the return leg, and make alternative plans, stay as many days as you like. (edited)
I just can't with this - you buy the voucher before seeing the available dates and all the coach and chance of a choppy crossing.
You can fly back via Dublin for £40. Flights out maybe £60 the same way.
There was far too much travelling in comparison to time spent at the destination, and in comparison with childhood trips on North Sea Ferries to Rotterdam, the boat wasn't particularly enjoyable.
I'd suggest this deal is only worthwhile for those living in the north east or taking children who love boats and public transport, at best.
I prefer the inverse and to spend at least two nights in NL and five hours max travelling (fly or Eurostar).
