Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city.

Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.

See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.

Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.

Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans.

Currently £8.16 on the Argentina Xbox store.

Keep an eye on eneba as they will probably have it available for similar price soon.

Enjoyed this game. It had an interesting world and (light) story. Thought it impressed graphically. Is it worth £19.99, probably not but if it drops to £10-15 then definitely worth it.

This is my sentiment exactly. It’s a lovely short game (I finished it in around 9 hours even though I took my time and explored the world).
Once done, there is very little reason to revisit it. This makes it a great little gem for Games Pass or PS+, but I wouldn’t buy for more than £10

And this is why you buy a game and make up your own mind. Most contrasting reviews

Cat lovers must have united to give this game the reputation it has. completed in 7 hours on first play through. (and i even let me cat sleep on a cushion for some of that time) Looks lovely, quite original game but I was glad it was over and I'll never play it again.

Played it on Playstation, great game. Highly recommended

Very over-rated. Played just before leaving ps+. If u want a good game with a cat, go for Ratchet and Clank.

    Not overrated just good

The most overrated game ever. People lost their minds because you control a cat... I'm not saying it's a bad game. It's not. But it's nothing more than average. The enemies are like the wish version of The Flood from Halo which ruined that game too.

In short if you loose your mind at the sight of a cat then you'll love it. If not you'll see it for exactly what it is. A very meh game.

Found it really boring and repetitive. Very overhyped. 1 way to die and one way to kill enemies. Very linear. (edited)

Over rated. Story had potential but it's just a matter of "go find this item and return here" type of game which really doesn't tickle my pickle.

One of the best games of 2022. Hopefully it will come to Gamepass eventually and I'll replay it on XBOX.

Loved this game. And I’m a dog guy!

The world is interesting and whilst it’s a relatively linear story (okay - completely linear) it’s quite enjoyable IMO.

Gameplay and platforming is decent, and the mechanics are pleasant too.

Paid £20 for it a few months back. Found it a bit "meh" and as others have said, maybe acceptable once sub £10

Had £15 credit to use from rewards, and probably part of it due to expire soon so bought this.

Enjoyed it when on PS+ as relaxed and not very taxing but was short.

A modern title that I actually wouldn't mind playing. I wonder if it will come to Gamepass? That would be purr-fect! (geddit?)

    Not feline it, sorry.

Ah, it's an xbox release. It's been on PC for ages. tbh I'd wait for it to be on gamepass as I already paid for PC and played it free on Playstation (PS Extra)
  25. oli_1_uk's avatar
Played on PS Plus last year, I enjoyed the game and it lasted me around 10 hours as I wanted to explore and took in the game world.

It may drop in price/go on sale later down the line but as far as I'm aware PSN have not put it on sale for less than £18, it might change now its on Xbox but just something to bear in mind.

Agree with others its worth £15-20 as a great but short game. Really enjoyed it, but doesn't last long enough..
  27. Pacmancereal's avatar
Personally I thought this game was absolutely brilliant. Something actually fresh, amazing soundtrack, the atmosphere, really nice story.

    Highly recommended.

Genuine question, is it a game young kids can play? Like 4 & 6 year old?
    nickroll's avatar
It's rated 12 but they'd probably be fine.
