The DeWalt heat gun is like a regular gun but instead of shooting things it produces hot air which may be safer depending on whether you are prone to melting or not.

  • DCE530 XR Heat Gun reaches a temperature of 530°C on a high setting and 290°C on a low setting
  • Select a high or low temperature setting with the 2-set temperature selector, optimising temperature for specific applications
  • Keep the tool switched on using the lock-on button to improve comfort for longer applications and hands-free use
  • The trigger with a built in lock-off switch prevents an accidental start up during transportation and storage, reducing risk of thermal accidents
  • Fully compatible with all DEWALT 18V XR batteries

Good price but this if only really useful for quick tasks. It absolutely eats batteries. Ideal for heat shrink on electrical wires. Not so good for removing paint from a wall for example.

Heat, Best price it’s ever been, have one that bought for £80 a while ago and it’s really useful especially when working on cars/ DIY jobs … gets really hot if it’s used on 2 setting.

Comes up as £83, then says its an 'amazon deal', how'd you get it?

If it said amazon deal then I don’t see that now, which probably means amazon were waving some of their costs on it as a promotion but only allocated a few units at the lower price.

Either way I see the same price as you so, expired!
