To be honest, at this budget, the 2021 Legion 17" would be a much more cost-effective choice. First and foremost, there's a much better screen and chasis, plus a full 130W TGP with no limitations like that on the Katana for CPU+GPU. All you need to do here is add RAM and voila. In my opinion, this is not an outstanding deal anyway. I know the 17" increases the price considerably, but overall to consider it a viable option it would have to be a Ryzen 7 5800H and 16GB Ram. ebuyer.com/125…7uk50710087-27430.jpg (edited)

An i5 and 3050 isn't great at this price, especially in an MSI Katana which is known to be a poor chassis.

    Definitely better deals available.

I think this is a reasonable deal, and should be 'hot' (or at least, warm).
For someone who needs a large screen laptop (eg moveable, not take up too much space, doesnt want or cannot attach to an external monitor) this is a fair deal.
There are some cheaper 17" laptops (such as this : hotukdeals.com/dea…338 ) however they would behave like wading through treacle in Windows.
This MSI deal will at least behave in a normal / responsive manner.

The chassis is plastic, and it is last year's model, but it still might tick someone's boxes.

Thanks for the comment. I think for the spec, it's a good priceand ticks a lot of my boxes. Just looked up about the chassis, and it's more common than you think gaming laptops made of plastic. Also, I am not the type who will open up and update.
Also I can't see to get the 1TB with a similar spec and price. Cheers again

As far as I know, lenovo is better. They don't gimp their GPUs and mislead people onto buying inferior products. I've heard lenovo has poor after sales service but I've never experienced any problems with this brand
