Standard turmeric powder is around 5% curcumin. It's suggested to take 500mg curcumin 2-3 times a day for health benefits. This product per 3 capsules is nearly 30mg curcumin and 100mg from the turmeric powder.

There is quite a lot of research into turmeric/ginger/black pepper pills for osteoarthritis. Google is your friend. I find it works.
I found Nutravita reduced pain quite dramatically if taken regularly but unfortunately it irritated my guts. Someone said their parents had had different results [did not know what brand] and he was suggesting to people to try a different brand as it the irritation may have been caused by something in the formulation. I thought this worth a try. I have now switched to nutrition geeks. this works for me it is not a judgement on the brands involved. Everyone is different. Just advising against bulk buying because of this. Also recommend people to be sure to take the tablets with a full glass of water; this is usually on the instructions I believe.
if tablets have become contaminated by microbes either during manufacture or through handling these will multiply exponentially. Risks from out of date tablets they are not likely to be serious for most people but people who are immunosuppressed for whatever reason would need to be careful here.
Now to find some arthritic friends
I have used a different brand of this for osteoarthritis. It works. The first brand I tried ended up irritating my guts (but not as badly as ibuprofen) so I swapped brands and the problem was further reduced. So this is another reason not to rush in and buy a lot. (edited)
