Ooi, why does it say Epson on the back? They make printers? Do Epson own Orient? Have I answered my own question? Do Omega write Swatch Group on the back? This is a lot of questions?

Epson and orient are part of the Seiko Group.

Mmmm, a "tasteful" mix of roman and Arabic numerals. Not to mention the blued hands that are a match to.... Nothing else. (edited)

I presume you mean the combo of Roman hour numerals and Arabic date? Never seen a Roman datewheel on any watch tbh. Blued hands for me complement the strap, but you can change strap you know if you need it bluer.

If I didn't have too many watches I would be on this like a shot. Orients are recognised as the best quality watches at the sub £250 level, and Bambino are class. (edited)

    Is this a wind-up?

For once a watch I actually like, retro Meiji Japan vibes

I love my Bambino. Great quality for the money and they look the part. The Version 2 models have a 21mm strap width. That might be a challenge to find replacements for. Version 4 have a standard 22mm lug width. I think they went weird again from version 5.

Do we pay any import taxes for this ? The EU seller putting me off. Don’t want to be stuck in a situation with HMRC or border force or whatever

and as you've purchased from the Amazon UK site, customer service will be with them.

If you have to return it, it'll go back to Europe (sent a watch back about a year ago, purchased from Amazon EU, via UPS). The refund took a bit longer but was pretty painless. (edited)

Re-reading the Millenary Watches conclusion, thought it sounded familiar (the OP has quoted it, that's why! ) - but the full review weblink may still be useful for anyone wanting to read a quick overview, so I won't remove it.

Most people even casually interested in automatics will know of this watch, I'm sure. (I have this Bambino myself).50763128-Evg6W.jpg (edited)

Purchased a orient watch off the official amazon store and the evri driver stole it before delivering the empty parcel. Only plus is amazon did provide a refund. I wouldn’t risk it again unless it was delivered by a reputable company

You can request that Amazon use a different delivery service and state your reasons why (my partner did this, but it was because Prime deliveries were taking so long to a rural address via couriers).

Eventually Amazon changed over to Royal Mail for the majority of its deliveries (obviously it's different in cities, as the majority is by Amazon Logistics and you get real-time tracking on a map). (edited)

Time to take out my bambino. Sooo many watches too few limbs to wear them.

I'm pretty sure it's been this price for a while, the bambino v4 is the same price I believe, in my opinion the v2 looks better, the v3 has the same movement as the v2 from memory, the v4 has a new one. All of them the v2 and v4 both use in house movements though which is pretty nice at this pricepoint.
