sorted byThe usual overpriced stuff because it's Ninja...
Even at £120 the set without the scissors is massively overpriced.
You can get a better set of knives (with scissors) with a better self sharpening block for £76 -
amazon.co.uk/Hen…8-6
Each knife slot (except the serrated, and the scissors obviously) have their own ceramic sharpener in that one, and it's a superb set or knives.
Budget Zwilling & Henckles (i.e. Henckles International) stuff like that is far better than this Ninja set, as expected from a company that specialise in knives.
A tip for anyone sensible enough to buy the Henckles set over the Ninja: You don't need to put any pressure on the knife when you withdraw from the block to sharpen it, the weight of the knife itself is fine.
A couple of swipes will have you ready to go.
The fact this deal has more heat than the deal for that Hencles set got when it was £65 is joke... (edited)

but i have never understood the need for a knife set .

This Henckels international set is better in every way -

Do they also manufacture the nasty plastic block they come with?
The only info I can find is that they are assembled in China, nothing about who manufactures the steel or whether Ninja actually own either the company that manufactures the steel (which is at least German) or the company that assembles the knives.
Also, being 'German steel' doesn't mean that much, there are plenty of low budget knives that are made with German steel. Not all German steel is made equal.
Compare that to the cheaper but better Henckes International set I posted about above.
Zwilling & Henckles themsleves manufacture the steel (which they are famed for), and Henckles International own the factory that assembles the knives in China. Zwilling/Henckles are in charge of manufacturing, assembly, and quality control from start to finish. (edited)

That’s a £100 saving! 🙌💯 (edited)
And they are cheap.
Just over £100 for incredible knives you'll use multiple times every day that remain constantly sharp are a bargain.
