I have one of these. I mainly use it for testing Christmas lights at Christmas, Charging my ps five headset, I mainly have it on hand because I live in A village that suffers From power cuts.

would be great to charge your phone whilst camping or run out of gas canisters for the stove with an electrical hob close by... but thats it.

I wouldnt have thought youd get much use of of these if you plug a stove into it maybe 5 mins?

as for phone charging a usb batt pack is far more efficient than this converting a battery source to ac only for the charger to convert back to dc for the phone

anyone got any actual good uses for this?

Have two of these with an adapter so I can use my Makita Batteries with them...just brilliant and so handy!

Could I ask what kind of things do you use them for?

I've been tempted to pick one up in the past, as I'm sure I'd find odd uses for it, but nothing ever makes it a must-have.

I like this but really have no use for it.

Me neither, bought one last year and still haven't used it apart from testing
Thought it would be handy for the much publicised power cuts as it will happily run my floor lamp.

I could use this with my old corded drill to save money on buying a cordless one.

Oh yeah?  I actually use this to power a ryobi charger to charge my ryobi battery, that I can then use in this device.  Continuous  power. Big brain ideas. *taps head*

I bought one of these and I was able to run my router for broadband and even watch a small lcd telly when my electric went off for a day after storm Arwen a couple of years ago

    House was freezing though 🥶

If you take the cells out of your battery out and smash them up with a hammer it will keep you warm for ages . (No don't) (edited)

What about running a nespresso machine when camping? Would that work say with a 5ah battery?
    tg20t's avatar
Just checked and looks like the pod machines are >1000w easily so don’t think this would be an option.

Can only be good for charging a phone few times.

In the past I tested a 45amp 12v car battery on an 300w inverter. Plugged my tv at full brightness (160w verified with el. usage monitor) and lasted less than 1 hour.

Ive only got one Ryobi tool (and one battery/charger) all the rest of my tools are Einhell and they dont make the equivalent of this which is a pity as I have around 20 Einhell batteries and tools.
