These aluminium sash clamps are chosen over traditional steel sash clamps for their incredibly light weight and ease of use. Large ductile iron jaws exert high pressure without deforming, and are tapered towards each other for true parallel clamping.

KEY FEATURES

  • 3 Year Warranty
  • Class leading clamping force of 8000N, for rock solid work holding
  • Extruded aluminium U-section is resistant to bowing and twisting
  • Cast iron jaws are tapered for parallel, non-slip clamping under pressure
  • Flat bottom design allows clamps to stand unaided during glue ups
  • Incredibly light, easily repositioned and carried with just one hand

FULL DESCRIPTION

These aluminium sash bar clamps have a 1200mm clamping capacity and are perfect for large capacity clamping jobs such as door and window frames, kitchen units and table and cabinet tops. They are incredibly light and easy to use meaning they are chosen over traditional steel sash bar clamps for a multitude of projects. Constructed from flat aluminium beam with large surface area ductile iron heads and tails they can exert high pressure without deforming and are also tapered towards each other to enable true parallel clamping. The clamp has a flat bottom to allow it to stand, unaided, on the workbench which will prove especially useful for most glue ups.

The clamp is fully adjustable as the tail can be locked off in 25mm increments and the lead screw has a travel of 45mm. The smooth running rolled acme threaded bar provides easy and rapid movement of the clamp head. Weighing only 1.08kgs they can still exert an impressive 8000N of clamping force. Because of the aluminium construction an additional benefit is that the bar will not mar the surface of your workpiece, which could be the case with steel sash clamps. Supplied in packs of 6.

    Works out as £9.33 each.

Rutlands are a decent quality brand these days with their whole range. Their quality usually matches or exceeds 50+ year old tools that I've been handed down. I know a lot of what I get from them will last decades(as long as they're looked after well obviously).

No comment on these sash cramps, other than they look a lot like a set I bought 20 years ago and still going strong, but Rutland's in general, I disagree. They might make some good stuff but they also sell a lot of rebadged Chinese stuff for a lot more than you can get it for from AliExpress. Many of their power tools are just rebadged sheppach / titan / stuff.

I got these and don't even use my old heavy ones anymore. I also just use pipe clamps but these are so light weight and ready to go and do most jobs I have needed clamping that I mainly use these.

Purchased . Wish I'd picked up the biscuit joiner as well, but won't be paying another £6 on top for that too.

Thanks for the heads up, ordered the biscuit jointer too.

    Thanks OP

There's a few other things on the Rutlands site, including these roller stands: rutlands.com/pro…f-4

These look almost identical to some Silverline ones I bought a couple of years ago. Great quality and excellent clamping power. I paid a lot more for mine too so these look to be a fantastic deal. Heat added.

Silverline and most other similar clamps have only one pin holding the butt end in. The 2 pins on these make a noticable riggid hold. Makes it a lot easier to stay in place to clamp as ones with one pin rattle and move about from experience.

The starlock washers make for a very rigid hold for the pins too compared to cheap compressed rivets that can come lose.

I know right, I got stung for that. But randomly other items can be delivered to NI for £6, guess it's to do with the size/weight
