Looks great ... I know I am comparing apples and oranges but would a set with full cabinet at 85 considered to be good value? argos.co.uk/pro…319?clickSR=slp:term:winmau%20blade%206:1:21:1

There is also a mighty mike version on amazon for 46 ... (edited)

Dartboard cabinets are a bit outdated and a very hard re-sell. Yes they make look tidier but, nothing beats a board with a foam surround and an LED ring.

How does this compare to either Shot King Regulation Bristle Steel Tip Dartboard Set with Staple-Free Bullseye, Galvanized Metal Radial Spider Wire Includes 6 Darts, Black, 17.75 inch amzn.eu/d/6…kCX or Winmau diamond plus and then just a set of separate darts?
    niall1234's avatar
Both of the dartboards (Shot King and Winmau Diamond Plus) are an older style of board which has thicker wires and staples to keep the wires attached. This results in more bounce outs and smaller scoring area. I personally wouldn't recommend either of those boards.

Good price for a starter set. If you can afford to, I'd get the dual core or the triple core version of this board though.

Honestly no need, lasting long enough in our darts league they’d be fine in someone’s house. Especially for the price I’d go for this over my triple core just for the saving

Great price for all that gear, I bought a similar set with a plain black surround from darts corner a year ago and it has been one of my best purchases. Always great to be able to throw some arrows in between work calls

These days, a standard Blade 6 board is £50 (goes to £40 on the very occasional sale).

So this is great VFM for Winmau, considering it comes with a surround.

However trying a Mission Samurai board right now for £29.99, which so far is just as good. (edited)

thats the one i have and love it. been playing for a year and only had a handful of bounce outs and the majority of them are when it has hit the numbers round the edge

Comes with deluxe darts with plastic dart tip and steel dart barrel. WTF!!!!

Any recommendations for the other non spiky darts game to play at home with kids?
    Trueogre's avatar
Why can't they play with spikey darts??? We got a dart board when we were wee nippers. Never threw one at a sibling...although there were time when I should off.

What the fixture like with this want to put it up on a wooden panel outside and take it off and on when I want it thanks in advance

Try one of these UNICORN Magnetic Dartboard Holder, not a cheap option though

I'd rather get the dartboard on its own as those ultra-light darts are as good as useless for most players. The Argos reviews don't look good as they state customer-returns and used items being sold as new. Personally, I would never buy from Argos, but get somebody else to price match instead.

Yeah 19g is abit light for a novice (assuming plenty of novices buy this).
If you're starting out 26g is quite nice.

That seems like a great price

Can anyone recommend a light/surround light for a dartboard that isn’t *too* expensive? Thanks
    rbjim's avatar
I've got the travel one from Amazon. I like it because it's not intrusive as it's only at the top. I don't like the full light ring, although you do get a better lit board.

For those of you that don't have space to hang a dart board, have a look at a tripod stand. I have one and it works really well and can be moved to any room or packed away (not that you would want to pack it away!!). (edited)

    Which one do you have?

This is cheaper and a better board, although the surround is not as pretty. dartscorner.co.uk/pro…rts
    aaronie's avatar
No way that's a better board.

Says triple core on the surround. Cheeky as it definitely isn't 😜
