"A city of iconic attractions and brilliant beaches"

Sounds like a reasonably fine price for this flight.

Does anyone know how easy / difficult it would be to stop for a few days in Beijing and then travel on? thanks

China Southern is via Guougzhou. Beijing will be a different ticket, plus you will need to apply for a visa.

China southern is worst airlines. Also chinese Airport staffs are exceptionally rude and unprofessional.
    Avoid like plague.

I've flown with China Southern a few times. In my opinion on economy long haul flights, there's not much between the airlines, and it's worth the savings and going on the cheapest. China Southern have this nice sweet creamy coffee they serve. Also, Guangzhou is one of the dullest airports, but it's spacious.

You can make the stop in China for a few days on both legs for not much more. That would be better imo if you have the time.

I'm tempted to fly with this airline just to see what the seats are like . Never had an issue with Ryanair seats and I'm not big.

I've flown China Southern around 15 times at least and I can't say anything about the seats really comes to mind. Maybe some older planes have rubbish ones, but the ones I've been on have been ok.

Over a day for one way, wow!

Quickest time I've done it was 22hours...

These seem OK, but that return, meh, long layovers are rubbish. Unless you can make it a day or two and explore.

Terrible airline, disgusting food and the worst seats ever - accept all this and you've got a deal

About 8 years ago, they had some of the best food as they were provided by a luxury restaurant brand South Beauty, which went bankrupt unfortunately.

The seats are worse than Ryanair

Our son and his partner fly in on this for three weeks this Friday. It saved them £2000 over other similar flights they’ve used before. Check the stopover times though his is 7 hrs at Guangzhou on the way here. Cracking price though and the main leg is a Boeing Dreamliner.

On Trustpilot 73% of people give China Southern a 1 star rating.

    Think I'll leave it there.
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
But is that based on a £300 flight to Australia?

    I doubt it

Good price, but go in knowing what you're going to be travelling on. It's not luxury, but it will get you there.
