No series x is a fair bit more powerful with DVD to play physical games. However if you're a casual gamer like me and don't want a huge black brick taking up so much space the series S is perfect. Yes there's some games that are and will look better and play on the higher refresh rate but for me not enough to miss having a series X. Series S really is a great console. I've got a Samsung t7 SSD which allows me to save games externally with good transfer speeds. (edited)

I know the colour is different but have I missed something? ISnt the S £150 used on here quite regularly.
Couldn't justify double the price for a new black one.

For all the hate it gets I love the series S mainly because I love small form factor computing. Bought a NUC extreme but it’s literally impossible to make something this small and quiet for decent level gaming. I have the X and PS5 but this little beast I have a carry case and take it on travels as also a really useful media player and sky go machine (that only works on consoles to output to a TV).

Why?

CEX are a rip off people need to wise up and stop supporting them.

If you must sell do it online you will get £100 cash maybe £10-120 if willing to ship.

This black one is awful price not sure why anyone would consider it (MS do not even care about hardware which is why no proper deals and still high price tag)

Sorry, posted this with the voucher as £269. Turns out that you only get the voucher with the purchase of a Series S so it is standard price

They should have just made storage cheaper instead. It was easy enough for them to release an nvme adapter for their rear port. (edited)

I also love the S. Picked one up from Music Magpie and it's perfect for 1080p gaming.

Amazing console, especially if you're like me and play on a 1080p monitor.
I'm probably alone but I prefer the white colour, looks great next to my PS5, but can't deny the black and the extra storage will make this the go to now for most peoples set ups, worth every penny, even if you get it just as a Game Pass machine.
