Minky Retractable Reel Washing Line

The Minky 15m Retractable Reel has a very sturdy retractable washing line to provide up to 15m of drying space. It attaches to the wall with a special bracket, so you can remove the reel when not in use. The PVC coated lines are easy to wipe clean.

For homes without the space for a conventional rotary this Retractable Reel is ideal for small gardens patios and balconies and gives 15m of drying space. The product features an easy to use retractable outdoor washing line and it stows neatly away when not in use. The protective casing is UV stable and the special bracket means the whole product can be removed when not in use.

This isn't my first "retractable" washing line rodeo. The Brabantia line kit is the way to go. Not strict retractable, but no more effort, won't break, less conspicuous.brabantia.com/uk/…te/

not really, i got 4 from ebay, there are all the same, just rebadge. my wife hang the clothes daily so it is not bad. we got the double , but we do not over use it, meaning we take turns using, never use both lines at same time, but one at time, and then swap around for next day. we only retract it when it is bbq etc. otherwise it is hanging out.

What's the best dual retractable washing line on the market? We had the duo version of this one in our last place and the plastic bottom hooks snapped abit. Ideally want something more reliable.

Got mine from argos, had it since lock down still going strong. Left out all year round.

I have the double in dark green and have not had any issues with it so far, heat added.

I ended up buying a retractable washing line from home bargains. Just 3.99. It's been up over a year and have had no problems at all

I've got two of these and the bit at the bottom that you wrap the line around has broken off both of them.

It has taken at least 2/3 years but yes it becomes brittle and breaks off or it breaks at the hinge. Mine are left out all year though, but I think it's sunlight that does the damage.

The Vileda version was a penny cheaper yesterday and several Minky owners had unfavorable reviews of this one in that thread.

The unfavourable comments seem basically interchangeable between the two. Isn't capitalism wonderful.

Broken after a few uses and got no customer support from the manufacturer

Used for past 2 years no issues. Didn’t even take it down for winter and it’s still good as new.

This was £11.60 for the double on Friday when I ordered it, feels poor quality to be honest. Says it’s rated 80kg but the bit you wrap the line around to keep it taught sounded like it was cracking with just a light load of washing hung on it. I dare say it’ll break next time I use it and I’ll have to return it!

Probably just the plastic settling to be honest. I’ve had like 6 bath sheets saturated with water on one line multiple times - no issues. You are supposed to wrap the line twice.

i give a hot, but i got double at £13 on ebay. ALDi was very pricey at £16 like amazon for a double 2x15m

Asda ones cost £4. Is there something special about these Minky ones, other than the brand?
