As a tinnitus sufferer, and someone who has seen many audiologists over the years, and spoken to them about ear wax... DO NOT STICK THESE THINGS IN YOUR EARS!

By all means, stick them somewhere else, but not your years!

Nothing smaller than your elbow in your ears.

That would destroy your ear for sure.

I've had one of these for years, and a ear syringe. When I first used them the gunk which I got out of my ears was amazing. Use the syringe about 6 monthly now and the camera to check all is clean. Never had any problems at all. And my waxy ears are a thing of the past.

I bought an ear syringe but not used it yet.Seeing how much wax is starting to build up again, I'll have to give it a go soon!

OMG how have I ever survived life without this rubbish!!
Sticking these in your ears is extremely dangerous DO NOT DO THIS.
If you have an ear problem see your GP not imported trash from China.

GPs do not see you for earwax. They send you to Specsavers etc where you are charged around £60 to have ear wax removed. Some folks need it 2-3 times a year hence if these work then makes sense.

These are actually really good. Those saying go to a GP, they don't do it any more so you have to pay £60 to go private which is awful because if you've ever had a blocked ear it can really affect your hearing and perception so you can't just deal with it. This for me has saved me loads by removing it myself, you do need to be careful so I wouldn't want my granny using it but as long as you have a steady hand and are careful they do a really good job and remove a lot of wax quickly and effectively

Completely agree, I was worried about the sense of all those sounding like these are a guaranteed accident waiting to happen. You can very clearly see in the camera how far you shouldn't go, and I never even have wax nearly as deep as that. I quite easily remove excess every few weeks or so and I'm always amazed at how much build-up people have when I sees these videos. They must have been clogging it up for years with cotton buds or whatever.

Had microsuction done back in March on both ears due to wax build up over several years.
Problem is that wax has now built up again, and already had 2 partial blockages.
Using Earol spray to keep it under control.
My worry about these devices is that something falls off and gets stuck in the ear.
    marco806's avatar
you need to get your ears done twice yearly - thats what i do, and as said, use spray or oil every second day in the interim
  13. friar_chris's avatar
Still works but you have to take premium postage option for £5. So £15 all in now.

We use olive oil to soften the wax.

Then it’s easier to reform, with a wick, in to candles. Great for romantic evenings or power cuts.

I had something similar and I perferated my eardrum .I had micro suction at the hospital and the pain was indescribable
    stamfordblue's avatar
My microsuction was ok apart from one loud noise in one ear, and the stupid woman doing it started to check it was clear inside one ear.God only knows what she hit into, but it was painful, so much so that I thought she had drawn blood, but thankfully she hadn't.
She was apologetic, but should have been more careful!
