Another brilliant budget ultra wide monitor following the Dell S3422DWG yesterday. The key difference with this monitor is its flat, IPS display with a slightly higher refresh rate which some people may prefer.

I think you can also get this deal through employee discount portals although I was unable to verify this.

my best advice would be to avoid...
Their CS is whack, mine has soooo much backlight bleed for watching films it is barely usable. Took 4 weeks to get their CS to do something and all they did was send me a refurb.
Its not worth the hassle, spend a bit more and get a better monitor.

TBH, if you deal with the manufacturer directly, then getting a refurb is commonplace. Even Apple does it. You have to push for anything else or refund/re-buy.

I have this after buying it a few months back. It replaced an MSI 32" curved monitor. I did initially miss the curve but I got used to it after about 3 days.

I've not had any backlight bleed issues mentioned above.

I paid £240 from Currys in September.

Same here - it took a few days to get used to a flat panel again, after a 32" curved screen. It felt like the extreme edges were pushing away from me. It's a non-issue now and I'm pleased with the performance. I had my doubts, but the quality is pretty impressive.

You do see that IPS "glow" occasionally, but mine has zero backlight bleed.

I can't speak to the quality of the stand - mine went straight on to a monitor arm. (edited)

Been using this for around a year now. No issues, for work and games and mounting is straight forward. Can recommend

Got this last time it was posted for £300. Very good, no issues for me in 6 months or so.
Some games do look very goofy on this. 120FOV in shooters is great, though.

trust me those blacks aint black!

Yours has the quite bad backlight bleeding, but generally the IPS panel's black performance is poorer than other panels

seems good for the price, is there a catch? im thinking the next best ips ultrawide is the gigabyte m34wq which is 200 quid more, are there any other ips ultrawides around the £300 mark or is this the best out there right now

Also ilyama gmaster 34 IPS(bought two years ago for 330) no complaints and 2042 looks great on it. I think this one is very basic io and no inbuilt speakers

Great gaming monitor with IPS panel and native anti blue light coating

got this it’s good for gaming. got the typical IPS problem of glow but not to an unusual level. very good monitor imo - only wish it was curved to save me some eyestrain.

it’s not got a ‘catch’ in my opinion however it is a very basic monitor (1 DP, 1 HDMI, no usb etc.) (edited)

Probably the cheapest you’ll see outside of clearance with these specs. Buyable deal for sure. Check overclockers clearance though, always gems in there if you don’t mind a dead pixel.
