there are loads of guides for replacing the internals with a raspberry pi, Here is one from eta prime.

Is it best to get the mortal Kombat one as it has two player buttons if modding?

    I sold my Arcade1UP Pac-Man cabinet for this ..

50891190-ojNvy.jpg.. although a couple of days ago they released a new firmware upgrade which I installed and it's broken the feature that lets you run your own games from a USB stick - the company aren't commenting on it at the moment so it's either deliberate or they've screwed up.

    Worth getting though.

Can anyone who owns one possibly tell me how Missile command plays please?

I don't need one of these, I don't have space for one, I don't even play video games. Bought one! (edited)

I’m same got 3 full size arcade machines and didn’t need this.
Ive bought one for modding lol

Seen so many of these arcade 1ups on Facebook Marketplace cheap, people buy them get played for a couple of hours and then spend the year being used as a clothes horse lol
  8. Glasshalfsmashed58's avatar
That riser needs a riser. It's too short.

You can pull up a stool?

Also worth knowing that the £19.99 delivery charge applies to EVERY cabinet bought.

There is no discount or adjustment to this (as you may normally expect with online retailers)  if you buy multiple cabinets.

i.e. Buy 2 in same basket and you will pay 2 x £19.99 on delivery.

It doesn't surprise me. Awful company.

Always wanted an arcade machine, and the MK one particularly interests me because of the other added games including Gauntlet & Paperboy. Used to spend hours on those in the arcade and on computers when I was younger.
    So tempted to get this
    Glasshalfsmashed58's avatar
Be a bit weird playing the Paperboy coin-op without the handlebars, won't it?

They had the Pac-Man version for £239.98 inc VAT in Costco Southampton last week. If you’re near and can collect.

I bought the Street Fighter one a few years back, had a custom riser made for it as the risers weren't available at the time so went for a taller one to bring up to normal arcade height.

Easy to modify using the Eta Prime video and surprisingly it still gets used quite regularly.
  14. GHRocker's avatar
These always interested me, but considering I had a custom arcade machine as a kid and the amount of games on there was mental for about the same price as one of the newer machines they sell, I've never seen the appeal too much...

Doesn't mean I don't want the Time Crisis one, and if House of The Dead gets a machine it's game over for me, but, yeah, always been a tough sale for me.

Saying that, the comments RE: modding perhaps make these an interesting entry-level arcade machine to mod.

    Just spilling my thoughts!

ArrowXL the company GAME uses for delivery are awful (well that’s my experience).

Cancelled a delivery I booked without notice then turned up on another random day (again without notice) while I was at work.  Items when finally delivered were soaking wet (as if they had been left in a puddle for hours).  You have been warned!

Anyone had a go on the stand up ridge racer one? Couldn't think of anything worse than trying to drive a car standing up!

Given height, prob easier to chuck chair in front

Is there any actual way to get this from Game for £249.99?

If the P&P is mandatory at £19.99 then would that not make the deal price £269.98?

I haven't been into a Game store for ages but assume they don't stock these instore?

I would buy the MK one at £250 but not willing to stretch to £270.
    etceteraz's avatar
No, you must pay £269.98 per cab.

Apparently, the HUKD team decided it is clearer if the delivery price is stated separately inside the deal thread!!

Another step backwards IMHO… but what do I know! I just preferred the bottom line TOTAL price to be included in the deal title.

Anyone's shipped yet? I'm a bit concerned since I selected an address that contained outdated phone/email contact details (despite the ones on my main account being correct). I've updated the delivery address info and contacted Game about this but haven't heard anything
  26. etceteraz's avatar
They take a while to ship.  IIRC, GAME ship to ARROWXL who will email you to book a delivery date and slot.
    Supremo87's avatar
Cheers for the info. Fingers crossed they contact me on the number/email on my main account when the time comes rather than what was left under my alternate delivery address!
