Sounds like you had a negative experience.

50923043_1.jpgAmazing price point here for the watch. But you can't read the display on that 5600 model which was posted IMHO. Best daily G-Shock I have is this one. Tough solar, durable, small profile. I love it. Had it 4 years and it's gone through hell abroad and in the UK. (edited)

I agree the best value package is the m5610. However after getting a GW-5000 I have realised the solid metal case and screw down crown makes it an even better watch. Can be had for reasonable money second hand on ebay.

What does the Bluetooth actually do? Count steps?

Connects to your phone (using the Casio Watch app) which allows it to synchronise the time (so no need for Multiband). Also you can set world times, alarm, countdown timer, etc from the app rather than trying to remember which of the tiny buttons on the watch you have to press and for how long.

Biggest downside of this particular watch (for my old eyes) is the negative display.

I have the Tough Solar version - best watch I have ever owned.
    drsleep0000's avatar
    Is this tough solar?

This is tempting. Is this better or the ga-2100?

Has to be MIP display nowadays or no good
    Donamilo's avatar
Yup. I'm after an MIP but done want all that smart watch stuff. I would happily pay a premium for a GW-M5610-1ER with MIP display. (edited)
