Can get 20 electrolyte tablets in Homebargains for £1.35(ish).

£1.99 for 8 is not a deal or am I missing something?
  3. jamesconner3's avatar
Or instead just drink water for free...
    CharlesLeeRay's avatar
    Does water contain electrolytes?

I really like LMNT for this (The one you see advertised all over podcasts. But it's far to expensive, I was hoping this was an alternative but when I tried the sample last time, it was rubbish.
    dean_mullarkey's avatar
I got two free LMNT sample packs sent from USA. They've stopped doing it now. LMNT is impressive but way too expensive for me. Every other type of electrolyte mix I've tried is crap.

OMG, unless you have a massive hangover, are a marathon runner or a very frail old person, I can't see a reason to buy this. Best hydration is water. Tap water, mineral water. Or get a cheap fizzy multivitamin for a couple of quid. (edited)
    CharlesLeeRay's avatar
Water doesn't replace the minerals you loose when sweating.

I suffered headaches through the summer months all my adult life and started taking electrolyte tablets last summer. I hardly ever get headaches now and work in a rather hot place.

I suddenly found myself without a large bowel at Christmas. Now i rely on these electrolyte drinks to prevent dehydration after almost dying of it. Plain water actually dehydrates me now.

Look after your gut as i wish i had mine back. Electrolytes are important.
    JDPower's avatar
Save yourself a few quid - squash with a liberal pinch of Lo-Salt and sugar. Or if you want that from a medically advised source, google St Marks Solution. (edited)

This product makes no sense whatsoever. They say it solves the problem of people not drinking enough water by quenching their thirst, therefore reducing the need for them to drink water?

If it made them more thirsty so they would drink more water it would make a lot more sense. This just looks like another one of those products which claims to have health benefits but is actually causing more harm.
    TheTain's avatar
If it contains salt, salt helps you retain water rather than urinating it back out.
  10. maskrider's avatar
This is just a fancy squash.
    JR_SmiffEsq's avatar
    Exactly, pure nonsense

Any ideas on the amount of electrolytes per sachet? The page is a mambo jambo of information on how the electrolytes will help bla bla bla with no actual amount. Thanks

I think the main purpose of a products like this is where people don't drink enough water, this might convince them to drink more and stay hydrated. It might not be for everyone so just keep drinking whatever you want and stop telling others what to do
    sparky_'s avatar

Yeah well said... we can all make our own decisions.. I think #hydrategate has gone on all night.

Like I said yesterday I'll order them and try them for £1.99 and if I don't like it I won't buy it again... stop jumping down each others throats and telling people what is better for you all.

Let them be the judge of the drinks.. there I've said enough have a good day everyone and thanks all who threw a heat into my deal I posted yesterday

I don't like the way the website tries to make you spin wheels and keeps popping up with offers and stuff. Seems a bit too in your face and scammy. I've ordered just to try them and see what they are like, thanks OP
  39. redserpent's avatar
Mine never arrived, think it might be a scam.
    Wieczor's avatar
Got mine couple days after order, maybe someone stolen your package?
  40. redserpent's avatar
OK, I contacted them and they sent them again. Its not a scam.
