Struggling to find much opinion on these - anyone used it before please?

Yes, I bought a few bags last week when they were £2 each.
Used twice - once on a beach and once in my garden.

On the beach, I used bucket BBQ with these and my group also had a large disposable BBQ.

These took longer to get going but once there, equally as hot as the disposable. Lasted a lot longer too, but that is to be expected.

In the garden, I used them in a large fire pit that doubles as a BBQ. This time I used double the amount of firelighters than normal and it got to cooking temperature much quicker. I would say within 20 minutes.

IMO these are 80% as good as the 'normal' BBQ briquettes you get.

I live next to the beach and have a lot of BBQs. I ordered another 10 bags of these to be picked up later today.

Personally would not use these for food BBQ, more like fire pit fuel.

Great price, but they cancelled my click & collect order as OOS. Should have gone in to store.

Picked up 10 bags. Got home and put them away and most of them felt like bags of dust so god knows what they’ll be like when I open them. I fear even for a quid a bag it might be a waste of money

Used them tonight. They definitely took longer to get going that normal supermarket briquettes but once they got warm they lasted a decent amount of time.

As feared, half the bag was just dust but for a quid a bag never mind.
