Vinification Details
Michel Chapoutier often uses concrete tank for his wines. Concrete tank allows micro-oxygenation and gives a better expression of the fruit. For the Côtes du Rhône Villages we use 100% concrete for fermentation and 1 month ageing in concrete as well.
History
With roots dating back to 1808, M. CHAPOUTIER is one of the oldest companies in the Rhône Valley.
Michel Chapoutier's willingness to change the set way, together with his drive to seek, discover and reflect the full potential of his terroir, letting the soils express their true character, has put their wines firmly on the wine world map.
Regional Information
In its southern reaches, the Côtes du Rhône Villages wine region spreads across the Rhône's terraces and alluvial plains, not to mention the slopes of various hills, atop which so many small villages are perched.

Absolute bargain. a couple of years ago the 2019 vintage was Jancis Robinson’s wine of the week when it was selling for the reduced price of £7
