Down another tenner, from when I posted it a few days ago, and with free next day delivery. For an entry level model, I think this is a really nice option and worth looking at.

How does this compare to the blue yeti for example

It's nowhere close to the Blue Yet in terms of overall performance and features. Blue Yeti for example has multiple pick up patterns that are great for multi use purposes. The Blue Yeti lineup features Vo!ce, which is software that you run on your computer and have support in being able to adjust certain settings that are not on the microphone itself - this is great for audio manipulation and for it to be adjusted in environments.

Blue Yeti has a better quality stand and shell - it being FULLY metal (or metal with coating over it), so it's extremely heavy. Heavy for microphones isn't particularly good, if you're putting it on a stand you might have a hard time getting the stand itself to hold it, the example in my head are those cheap £10 arm stand s that you can find on eBay/Amazon. Another concern with the Blue Yeti lineup is that it still uses Mini-B USB, so the cable technology is very out of date and replacing it can be problematic (in my experience it was easily breakable and due to supply/demand may be expensive to keep replacing it).

This is more compared to the Razer Seiren Mini, where this beats the Seiren Mini because it has a better shockmount and a gain knob adjustable on the microphone itself whilst the Razer doesn't. The other comparison is the Blue Snowball, which is not a particularly good microphone in terms of overall sound quality and also really unhelpful with its very unique form factor (the fact that it is shaped like a large snowball). As a disclaimer the Blue Snowball does not feature Blue's Vo!ce as mentioned earlier.

With this deal you're getting a lot of bang for your buck, but I'd like to add that you should look into what microphone best fits your situation before making microphone purchases, if sound quality is important for your needs. Podcastage's short video "Dynamic vs Condenser microphones, what's the difference?" video simplifies it really easily. (edited)
