Recently got this Tonor Q9, if what you say about the chip is correct then it’s missing the green screen, and the stand mount too. That’s a key thing I’m missing right now. I thought it should’ve been included as you’ll not always want the boom arm. A nice small mount would do the job. This brand provides that option as well as the green screen. The light on the mic is a good aesthetic feature too.
Already have a trust mantis 232. May as well stick with it
No, but I know microphones (to an extent). The model (and chip) is the same as Tonor's product: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07NMJ84FW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3C9NFLUV1NZ1A&psc=1, which TONOR is more recognizable than STRMD in the "cheap" variety. The only thing you're missing is a green screen, and that discounts it to £23.43. TL;DR The mic is the same as the TONOR, just rebranded and more expensive. It's not a bad product, it's just not as much in value. Depends what you currently have. There's really no point upgrading to another cheap microphone, unless what you're currently using is a headset microphone.
I have never used this microphone and it seems the sale at Amazon is genuine compared to the competitors price. Have you used the strmd before? It would be interesting to know if it was a step up from my cheap gaming microphone while the offer is £65
Whoever paid this for £100 got massively ripped off (at Argos/Littlewoods). This isn't a good deal for £65. Actually didn't see the green screen. Alright deal. Still though, whoever paid that price at Argos/LW got massively ripped off.
Also looking at this one. Doesn't look as good but has the benefit of usb c so I can do c to c to my surface go without dongles. It has been cheaper previously. Worth watching a few reviews. Deal: USB Microphone, TONOR Condenser Computer PC Mic with Tripod Stand, Pop Filter, Shock Mount for Gaming, Streaming, Podcasting, YouTube, Skype, Twitch, Discord, Compatible with Laptop Desktop, TC30 amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CVP2HXP/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_glt_fabc_6VWME7YPD4JZ49H8RYN5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Any other good ones?
All claimed!... Damn!
Got one. Ty op. Hopefully my daughter can stop bugging me for a you tube setup now!
Strange maybe you got a duff set. Phone calls through these are amazing, the set I have I just have to talk normally or even whisper and people can hear it clearly on the other end, infact they thought I was talking through the phone, not through a Bluetooth earpiece it was so clear. And drop out every 17mins? Must have been a dodgy set. I run mine for the complete 7 hour battery life during work streaming absolute radio and get zero drop out
The noise cancellation they refer to is slightly misleading - it's what we would understand as ambient noise compression, i.e. they use the mic array to filter out background noise. That's probably why you notice that the voice mic volume is a little low, as the ambient mic is too overpowering. Frustrating as I wish these vendors wouldn't use terminology that confuses the average consumer so freely.
Had these and they are good, but not perfect. But noise cancellation is non existent. Passive noise cancellation from silicone buds-yes, but nothing from software. Bit low on bass. Mic is not sensitive enough, so need to shout out loud other part to hear clearly. Battery on low side too. Drop outs every 17mins. After 7 months left side earpiece won't connect at all. If on excercise they falls out easily, every 500m on my expierence when running.
Voted hot because I have an Mpow Bluetooth speaker, and I love it. A quality piece of kit, and if that is anything to go by, this will be also, anyway... £19.99 for earbuds? CHEAP AS CHIPS.
It's weird, as I've had no problem with this mic at all. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but streaming through OBS with no filtering or effects, all recordings sound clear and precise. Granted, audio quality it's not that of a professional level but I wasn't expecting it to be for something so cheap!
I’m looking to get my nephew a mic for his birthday as he wants to start streaming. Any recommendations on a decent budget mic? Don’t want to spend too much just in case it’s a fad.
I have one that looks exactly like this, but a different brand on it. Even has the same stand and pop filter... It was terrible. Gain, all over the place too quiet then too loud. Background noise abysmal. Spent a bit more for a blue snowball, it's been absolutely flawless. Super clear audio for teams/zoom, works will with krisp.ai and discord for gaming. Heard my voice back on plenty meeting recordings and it's clear and natural. I'd recommend spending a bit more for something much better
I've got the other one. Exactly the same. They claim to reduce background noise, I can assure you, they do not. In a silent room, it picks up the sound of you gently rubbing your finger and thumb together 2m away from the mic. Ridiculous background pick up
I wrote pretty much the same stuff when it was posted previously but IIRC I was disagreed with. Nice that you have same experience. Average price is £27 so this is more expensive than usual.
Was going to order but put off by comment on Amazon that - this microphone can not work with a USB C to USB C cable. In your case, it is recommended to connect the TC30 to your computer via a USB-A to USB C adapter or hub. Don’t want adapter..becomes too messy..
I bought this last month to record some screencasts for work and have been impressed for the price. Sound of recoded speech is rich and clear. I don't have any alternatives, apart from the laptop's built-in effort, to compare it with, though. Am interested in exploring that software for concealing clicks and taps, mind.
Errrr because most people have a computer/tablet etc. Webcams were needed by alot more people who would normally have met their friends and family in person but now couldn't. Use your noggin mate. Others things to have gone up in lockdown despite always being available - Garden furniture - I bought a 4 piece rattan set in 2018 for £99. Now it's £279!! Gym and fitness equipment Inc weights Inflatable pools etc Hand sanitizer Hair clippers Printers Cleaning materials
Lol... Why didn't computer demand didn't suddenly jumped 3000% ? Where do ppl stick these webcams then!!! Do you get paid to post or promote Logitech and similar "deals" on HUKD? Looks like you have sales figures from inside Logitech or Amazon to back that 3000% increase in demand! How much comission did you received
Somehow or other you have misunderstood my comments above. The C270 is OK plug'n'play for me - whereas the C920 isn't. Because Logitech don't (didn't then) have working Mac software to adjust the camera settings, the C920 went back, and they lost the sale due to lack of Mac support.
Are you serious? Do you not understand the degree to which demand for webcams totally exploded during Covid? Barely anybody bought webcams before and suddenly millions and millions of people across many countries want a webcam and you somehow think that didn't completely wreck the supply of them? Logitech, like most manufacturers, couldn't suddenly increase its output by 3000% or whatever. Not everything is a conspiracy. All kinds of consumer electronics have been utterly hammered demand-wise this last year. You don't want a 1080p webcam? Don't buy it. I hope you're sitting down when you see the price of the 4K ones though, lol.
I have this cam, after some hukd hype. 64£ is too expensive, even at 25£ when I got it I had mixed feelings. It will show any spots on your face, or your messy room clearly to the other person. (excited)
Don't know anything about these things but the kids want them for YouTube :o I guess there is nothing else at this price that would be better than this? Thanks for posting.
I have one of those and it’s nice. Nothing spectacular but it works as expected.
You're lucky to get the pop filter at this price. Even if it breaks off the microphone itself is great value. We use a similar Trust microphone and are happy with it so far.
from lookinng at the picture it had better be amazing build quality or something is going to break. So many stick out bits, dangly bits etc. I can picture one bit get damaged and whoel set up looking a disfunctional mess.
