The only way of buying more food (that I have personally found) is by buying a three pack containing more eggs and a new water treatment. You can leave the tank if you like because I think it’s fine for the sea monkeys it just becomes a bit of an embarrassment if you have guests. They breed in the tank so you’ll have an endless supply and will eventually have to make the decision of whether you’re going to invest in more food and give the tank a little clean or let the stragglers die.
