Broadband Providers With a Montly Rolling Plan

Hi there!

I am a student, and I may move to another house before 12 months have passed. However, most of the internet providers I've checked offer 18-24-month plans. I only found that NowTV has a 12-month plan, and Hyperoptic has a monthly rolling option, but unfortunately, there is no service available in my area.

Do you know of another provider with a monthly rolling option?

Virgin media do a student plan that is for 9 months.

Now TV do a 30 day rolling contract as well. Not just 12 months. £60 upfront surcharge to cover installation and activation.

Three 5G home broadband is available 30 day rolling for a £4 monthly surcharge.

Virgin Media have 30 day rolling contracts as long as you want broadband only. All packages up to 600Mb. A convenience charge applies to both upfront and monthly fees.

BT can do rolling contracts on request if you call their sales team. But there’s no fixed price. Different people get offered different prices. And some get refused altogether. They also have a 9 month plan specifically for students which is a fair bit more reasonable.

Surely it’s like anyone that moves house you would simply take your contract with you to the new premises and if it isn’t available there then it’s just cancelled as it’s not your fault you moved into an area said provider couldn’t cover.

    How about Three 5G Broadband?

Or if you do not get their 5G signal they do 4G

Cheapest solution is get mobile phone tariff to unlimited data and tethering off it. (assuming you are not using a very expensive phone)

Or Lebara/ smarty + old phone/ second hand 4G or 5G router. (edited)

Many thanks guys, very useful information. I'll contact BY and NowTV to ask for a 30 day rolling contract as there is no service here by Three and Virgin.
Unlimited data couldn't be an option because there are 4 of us living here but thanks for the idea!
