sorted byI love strong coffee.. and for work these are fine .. at one bag at a time.
Much prefer this to any instant. In fact, I can not recall the last time I had a "Mellow Birds/Nescafe" instant or the like.
So Coffee Bags are an excellent halfway (Maxwell) house for me when separated from my Bean to Cup
The same deal applies to the Hot Lava Java bags
Excellent price even without the voucher. If you add them to Buy now, at the checkout you can get 10% off on your first order if you sign up to S&S :-) (edited)
Boiling masses of water to make the coffee.
Using lots of energy to freeze dry the said coffee to granules/powder.
The glass jars used for this freeze dried coffee uses a lot of energy to melt and create the glass.
Then to transport the heavy jars that weigh a few hundred kilo's per pallet, we uses hundreds of gallons of diesel in vans..
We then boil more water to un freeze....
Compare this to fresh grounds in a disposable decomposable little bag that weigh hardly anything.
Use the remains in the garden, or if it has to go to landfill, the decomposable will aid the other waste alongside it to decompose quicker.
The most important thing here is education education education... Think about the problem, cause and solution.
Freeze dried coffee is a lot more harmful than this... Wake up people..
