Anyone used Motorway to sell their car?

I'm looking at selling my car with this company and wondered how other peoples' experience had been with them? They are offering a much better price than WBAC.

    Yes last year. No issue.
Motorway aren't offering you a better price. They're offering you an indicative price as it goes into a 24 hour trade only auction.

You don't have to accept the auction price.

Mine went for £500 more than the indicated price.

You do have to accept the auction price if it is at least the original valuation amount

Yes, about 8 weeks ago. Car achieved about 10% less than what I'd expect for a private sale. Very happy with the experience. Money in the bank on collection of the car. They did knock off £100 for an undisclosed bit of damage. My fault, so happy with that too. I think for this to work well you have to be scrupulously accurate with the pics and damage disclosure. You need to have all documents to hand for uploading before the dealer will come and collect. Sooo much better than WBAC.

Yes. Got a good price this year.
They did ask for all documents b4 collecting car. Including ID address etc.
Money in bank on the day b4 collection

    Depends on the buyer.

Mine was all done on day. Quick phone call by driver to dealer and money transferred.

Yes, used them last year. They offered a decent price and the process went very smoothly. Guy turned up on the agreed day, checked the car and payment was received before he drove off.

Tried them once. Best offer after two attempts was £15,000. In the end sold privately for £18,200

At the end of the day, selling your car to a dealer who intends to make profit and has to cover overheads is never going to get you the best price. But I suppose for those who don't want to go through the process of selling the car themselves, it's convenient.

thanks everyone, got it sold for 23900, WBAC were offering 22000. Just need to arrange collection now.

Don't consider it sold until you've got the money. When they come to 'collect', they may try and knock you down by pointing out 'faults' that most would consider fair wear and tear for the age/price/description.
