BIOCERAMIC SCUBA FIFTY FATHOMS COLLECTIONBlancpain X Swatch honors the first true diver’s watch: the Fifty Fathoms. Created 70 years ago by a passionate scuba diver, it revolutionized watchmaking by becoming the first timepiece that successfully met all the needs of underwater exploration.

The five mechanical watches in the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection faithfully reproduce all the hallmarks of this Swiss watchmaking icon while referencing our own diving watch line, the SCUBA. Drawing inspiration from the deep seas, each model celebrates one of the five oceans and the magnificent, colorful animals known as nudibranchs, that dwell in their depths.

This NON-LIMITED collection is available for purchase at selected Swatch stores (1 watch per person per store and day) starting September 9, 2023.

After the circus that was the launch of MoonSwatch I’m amazed that they have the audacity to try the same again. While Blancpain might be a more premium brand, don’t forget that this is a plastic Swatch with build quality to match.

Swatch can do one with their nonsense..they want ppl queuing up for this plastic toy ...They have gone down in my books for the last shenanigan they pulled

Just get a Casio instead of this and save up for a Patek

Given how easily the moonswatches scratched and broke, I’d be hesitant to spend this sort of money on a plastic watch.

Going against the majority of folk in the watch forums, I'll probably pick one up, just for something completely different to wear

I'd love to think that I'd even remotely be able to pick one up, but given the effort involved in buying a Moonswatch from a store, I can't see it happening for me personally.

As much as I love Swatch, it would take something really special for me to part with that amount. These aren't it. These are essentially disposable and unserviceable. Worse still in my experience Swatch automatics are very hit and miss. Some will go on for years, others die much, much sooner.

You could buy a watch for this sort of money!

I genuinely don’t understand who this watch is marketed at, given the price increase compared to the MoonSwatch and the fact that a lot of “general” consumers won’t know the brand Blancpain compared to Omega. I have a MoonSwatch, but can’t see myself going for this. Let’s see how the launch goes!

I think the RRP is too high, but relative to the MoonSwatch I can understand why it's more expensive as it's automatic and is a play on a more prestigious brand.

These will doubtlessly sell like hot cakes due to the way swatch restrict the sales but £340 for a plastic watch with a cheap (albeit I believe automatic) movement does seem to be a bit steep. The moonswatches got panned for being poor quality so it’ll be interesting to see if these are any better.

Good price for a rebadged Blancpain, hope they sell them online.

    They won’t

Loads already on eBay at £1500
how eBay allows it when not even available yet is beyond me

You can service Sistem51 watches now.

Worthwhile release just for the bed wetting

Gonna tank these I think. Don't have the same mass appeal as the moonswatch did and considerably pricier.

Agree on both points being an issue but not sure they’ll tank - they’ll get snapped up for the first month or two by scalpers - but the secondary market will be terrible, not many will pay over the odds for these second hand, so scalpers will lose interest - 3 or 4 months it’ll all calm down and you’ll be able to get them in the shops without a queue down the street. Meanwhile, I only managed to get my first moonswatch three weeks ago!

As a watch fan I love these Cross overs Swatch have started bringing in. Perfect watches to wear on a night out when you have worries about your more expensive watches being on your wrist whilst being intoxicated.

However, this is not a deal. Literally RRP

This may have already been addressed.

I'm guessing they aren't daft enough to sell an entirely disposable watch. Does anyone know if the Sisteme51 inside these can simply be swapped out & replaced, despite the display back & fancy rotor? At least then your watch has a chance at decent timekeeping after a 5 year (ish) lifespan.

Hope every one of these plastic abominations spontaneously combusts. Swatch have disgraced themselves yet again
