Exclusive colour from John Lewis and they also have grey and black.

Other stores also have this on offer such as Argos, Sevenoaks Sounds, Amazon but not in the blue.

I have purchased this because it has aptX™ Adaptive which features low latency mode. I mainly bought it as I watch movies more on my phone and I prefer not to have lip sync issues.

It also supports aptX™ HD, aptX™, AAC and SBC.

Bluetooth 5.2

These or Sony XMs for watching TV?

I'd say these. The XM5 has 30mm driver and these are 40mm. Sony also push their LDAC Codec which isn't supported by many manufacturers in comparison to atpX. Also Sony is geared towards music and not video because of the high latency so you may have lip sync problems. Personally, having done some research, I'd get these. More for your money

How's the build quality on these? Reluctant to buy Sony again after both over ear xm3s and the Xm4 buds both repeatedly crapped out or came apart on me

Travelled alot with work and use them everyday, absolutely fine and had them a few years now. Nothing to complain about with these, best set I've owned

Just demo'd these this morning & the Sony XM5, the Bose QC45 & 700, ended up buying these as they definitely sounded better than all the others.
Weight wise I couldnt really tell much difference wearing them over the others, felt fine with my glasses on as well.
Noise cancelling there wasnt much difference between them, they were slightly better on all the others but not enough to warrant going with the others due to noticeably worse sound when comparing them all.
They needed updating out the box which said would be 20mins although took about an hour & half.
Felt more premium to the touch than the others.
It was weird trying them out & hearing stuff in my music that I didnt hear in my previous Bose headset, different instruments, voices in the background etc.
    Definitely recommend them 🏻

That’s good to know. I ordered mine yesterday, due to arrive tomorrow hopefully as long as DHL don’t mess around

Done some testing for last 2 days so here are my thoughts on the Sony XM5 vs PX7 S2s

    XM5s
-More Lighter, can barely tell its on top of your head.
-Build quality is average/good its very light plastic
-Ear pads and headband soft and poor but can be upgraded with 3rd party parts still ok for most
but the ear pads do not fully seal around your ear so leak some noise.
-XM5s feel more loose on your head due to light weight and ear pads not fully cupping around your ear
-Drivers much closer to your ear, actually mine touch the driver (could explain bigger soundstage)
-heat build up, sweat build up quicker and ear breaks and regular wiping is required
-Sound quality is good, sound stage bigger then the PX7 S2s, sounds are more spread in your ear.
-BT connectivity is excellent, seems to behave more easier and remember the devices between PC, mobile and TV far superior to that of the Px7S2s.

    PX7 S2
-Slightly more heavier then XM5s but its not too bad thanks to the better quality headband/pads
-Build quality much higher quality and more durable looking (for now) then XM5s
-Ear Pads are much higher quality and thicker and more soft against face and actually fully seal your ear
-headband sits more comfortable on the top of your head
-Drivers are angled and pushed more deep within the cup housing so your ears won't touch the inner driver allowing more room for ears to relax and breath in.
-Due to ear cups cupping fully your ears, provides a much tighter lock on your head.
-Less heat build, could use them for longer periods and less ear breaks then XM5s.
-Sound quality is very good, nice clean presence of vocals and instruments slightly better then XM5s
-BT connectivity is poor, it appears I have to disable PC BT dongle just to get it to work properly on S23 android phone, also disconnections and no sound occurs on all 3 devices, its almost as if I have to switch off other devices or just shut down pc and TV to get normal playback without pausing every few minutes (firmware updated to latest 3.0 version also) I am unsure if its a faulty pair of PX7s though but this is what I noticed in 48hrs.

Overall I don't think you can go wrong with either pair of headphones, both trade blows with pros and cons and sound quality is close but id give the edge to the PX7 S2s, edit my PX7 S2s are slightly faulty with BT connectivity issues so are going back, but can confirm no faults on other PX7 S2s, (edited)

id bet your ears are used to XM5, as time goes on they'll adjust to px7 s2 and you'll realise the difference is bigger than you initially thought. Always happens when people go from a previous main headphone to a new one

Are these better than the sennheiser momentum 3? That's what I've currently got
    emptypocketz's avatar
I read from one reviewer on amazon here who appears obsessed with BT headphones since he looks like he has bought the entire lot lately mentioned the Momentum 3s are still very good and similar, irony even he mentioned they both B&W/Momentum 3 still sound better then Sony stuff. Its here copy and pasted:

I am no audiophile just to clarify so I'll use simple words.
I've waited with reviev few weeks due to people complaining about charging problem but I didn't get it so here I am.
I felt in love with them when I first tried them in shop and when I had all my refunds in place I bought them straight away.
They are bassy - just what I was looking for. I wanted headphone which outplay all of those which are top in rankings and they do.
They are similar to momentum 3 soundwise (loud, clear and with loads of juice) and they are much better than all the Sony's, Bose's, beats, etc. They are even better than bathys.
Even though ANC is not the best it's still very good.
They sit tight on head but not to tight. They are not getting loosed - they stay in size which you set.
Design is up to your preference but for me they look outstanding. When you see them you'll know they are not market bought.
I love them. It's a shame there are no limited edition on amazon like McLaren's. I would pay more just for the look.
    Fully recommended.
    I don't regret.
If I change them at all it'll be next gen :-)

Just curious, was that brand new or warehouse?

I have these and they are amazing headphones 🎧🎧.
Buy them. You won't regret it.
I got mine from Sevenoaks in the grey and use them with my Sony Walkman. I've heard so much in music tracks I haven't heard before and I've listened to these tracks hundreds of times before.
    Treat yourselves

Got them last time JL dropped them to this price (the blue ones),I’ve had to go back to the start of my music collection to hear things that I haven’t heard, for years, brilliant set of cans

Massive thanks for highlighting this, I popped into the JL store in Nottingham and asked, they only had 1 left in stock, I asked if I could try them etc. And they opened the box for me. The sales person said he can't then sell me them at that price as it was now class N as the box was open. So he gave them me for 185

good review, comparing these guys to the fruit and the XM5

tldr- if you own iPhone buy the overpriced fruit headphones- they are really good actually

if you own andoird get the XM5s

better to go to John Darko, a real audiophile who reviews top end equipment

He says PX7 S2 for sound. As someone who's owned both, gotta agree.
  15. sohailh1984's avatar
Thanks for sharing OP. Curry’s eBay fudged my XM5 order so bit on these. Going via reviews, the sound quality feedback is what won me over along with the build. Managed to save a further £15 by using gift cards from card yard too

This was posted and then for some reason taken down by HDUK a few days ago. Decent price

Have a pair of these, albeit I think it is an earlier version. No complaints from me!

    These or the Xm4s?
    samsun's avatar
Try them both. You'll get just as many people saying one or the other. I'd get these personally
  19. Bignose96's avatar
Are these worth the upgrade on the P7 wireless?
    paulbirkettuk's avatar
Only if you want active noise cancelling, otherwise, keep your P7 wireless. They are the best sounding bluetooth headphones B&W have ever made, and are yet to be bettered. They can also be run in wired mode for even better performance.

got some of these for my Xbox. less than £100. brilliant headphones. but would t pay more than 100 for them.
    luke01234's avatar
    £100? How?
  21. TheKaledan's avatar
How's the noise cancelling on these. Currently have the XM5s but the sound is just 'meh'

Had to send back the momentum 4s because they didn't fit my big ass head. Shame cause those sounded amazing (edited)
    herrderr's avatar
It's good - maybe 85% as effective as the ANC on the Sony XMX series. Big step up is in the sound quality and FEEL. You'll never have appreciated just how flimsy the Sony cans are until you've handled these or the older Sennheiser Momentums... I don't think I can ever go back.
