This is a fantastic piece of kit and an absolute bargain I in my time have bought 7 or 8 of them for myself and for family. It's not a rice cooker it is so much more pasta / veg / steamed chicken porridge / scrambled eggs and superb for baked potatoes before you airfry for the crispy skins just buy it believe me.

How do you do the baked spuds please ?

I use the 2 minute sachets but this sounds great. How long generally does a similar amount of rice take in this please?

I go for about 200g/300g basmati rice, covered with boiling water, then 2 x 5 min blasts with a stir - then further 1 min hits until done. Sometimes I add a bit of water if needed - or frozen peas/broccoli at half time.

This is an excellent piece of kit which I use all the time for pasta and rice. As others have said you do need to experiment with timings and how much water to add.

My only problem with this deal is the price. I got mine for £6.36 this time last year and that included the 915ml round microwave food container. Before anyone asks to borrow my time machine, I am only mentioning it because Amazon regularly has deep discounts on this, and other, Sistema products. If you aren't in a desperate rush, I would wait for a better deal to come along.

Got one of these are it's great.
Took a bit of experimenting, but now got it perfect.
Add extra spices etc before cooking to give you flavoured rice

Please do share tips - my next step is to elevate my rice recipe whilst still using the this

The wattage on my microwave is a bit weedy so I had to figure out how to dial it in, but once you get there it's cracking. Make sure you follow the included instructions and in particular, offset the vents between the inner and outer lids!

Well I'm intrigued, so I had to order, cheers 😁

I saw this in a shop and it looked too big to fit in my microwave. If you don't have a large microwave be warned.

I wonder if you were looking at a larger model. My mum has a tiny microwave and it fits in it ok

These are great. As others have said veg, pasta, potatoes......Ive done salad tomatoes in it too and they are lovely on toast( plum tomatoes)

Brilliant piece of kit - saves a fortune on packet rice and once you get timings sorted with your microwave it's perfect rice every time.
Interested to read in the comments that it's more versatile - I need to try more things in it!

Not the same as a powered rice cooker but it does the job, was plesantly surprised with it.

Mine arrived day before yesterday, it was missing a hinge.

I tried to do a return only to find Amazon don't accept a return! Which is ridiculous. They only offer a link to contact the company. I contacted the company but nobody responded.

Then I started reading the 1 star reviews and.... Yeah .. They don't read well!

Amazon flatly go round in circles on their system not to issue a refund so I called the contact centre and someone sorted it out for me.

Many 1 star reviews were in the same boat as me, missing pieces. But there are more scary ones that show it all melted. It's left me with cause for concern.

Sainsbury’s have these in store at same price. Just picked one up and pretty sure it scanned at £4.50 with a £1.51 discount so £2.99!
