Sadly, the only winner with Thrift is Thrift. Charity shops get their rejects (which must be in a shocking state given the crap I received off them) and they sell your stuff for a price lower than the threshold so they don't have to pay you. Learned my lesson, back to supporting my local charity shop

I use redonate.uk/. They pay based on weight I think to your chosen charity (much more than those places clothes for money places). The downside to donating directly to a charity shop, it's only worth it if they get clothes in good condition and manage to sell the clothes. So it depends which suits the charity better, short term guaranteed money but small amount or long term waiting to gain a larger amount. Also some charity shops can be more expensive than a market place so that will also add to the time it takes for them to sell.

So this is a 'free' bag that they send to you so you can fill it and return it to them?

I'd be happy to send anyone on here a 'free' empty wallet for you to fill and send back to me... Any takers? (edited)

Yeah but it has to be a Gucci wallet and I'm not sure you will get it back

Meh, don't give to a private company, give to a charity shop. Much better cause.

Yeah I don't get what this post is for, if you're wanting the money to potentially go to a charity, just take your clothes to the nearest charity shop 🤦🏻

This isn't a deal it's a rip off, what are hukd doing letting this scam on here

based on the negative reviews on trust pilot, they seem to misplace quality clothing but the high street items seem to be processed and sell for under £7 which means (according to the reviews)the person providing them gets nothing. If it looks like a scam and smells like a scam it probably is. The three bags I have ordered will be used for clothes going to a charity shop, that said they are not always that better as they are usually run by a chief exec on big money and volunteers getting paid nothing. Its a cruel cruel world (edited)

It used to be good a year or two ago, I got about £25 in John Lewis vouchers for things I’d have otherwise sent to the charity shop. But lately it’s really gone downhill, they list the items at a high price so they don’t sell, then knock them down so low you don’t get anything.

I'm going to order a few to get rid of the rubble from my old driveway. Post them back for free. Saves on a skip.

Agreed, charity shop donation all the way!

If you give direct to charity you can gift aid etc. As well. This will get sold on for profit obviously, wrong way to go about it.

My local charity have a card they scan and I get a yearly summary of how much they've made from our donations inc. Gift aid. It's a really great idea as has made us keep gifting to them. You feel good for donating, the buyer feels good for buying from a charity shop. Everyone wins
