My front tyres are running a bit thin so have been looking to replace in time for winter. Found these and overall seem a really good tyre and even with fitting will be less than the "mid range" tyre.

Details

The tyre is ideal for sports cars, passenger cars, crossovers and sedans.

Tread
The Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 is a technologically advanced premium tyre . While implementing the objectives, the main focus was on developing a rubber that will allow perfect and smooth movement in unfavourable conditions.

Therefore, the tread has V-shaped sipes and circumferential grooves. Both features influence the effective water drainage from the tyre surface and the contact patch.

Therefore, the tread reduces slippage on a wet surface and prevents the occurrence of aquaplaning. This allows for safe driving, even at a speed of 170 mph. The Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 works equally well on wet roads, bends and in city traffic.

The rubber blend used in Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 tyres reduces the resistance and fuel consumption , transfers the power better and improves the grip, even on wet roads, without compromising on cost-effectiveness, smooth city and main road driving.

Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 are resistant to high temperatures and dangerous loss of contact with the ground, i.e. on a layer of water between the tread and the wheel of the car.

The Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 are very durable summer tyres, which sustain the driving dynamics in all conditions. The tyre was constructed by the Japanese company, which has been present on the market since 1917 and is currently in sixth place among manufacturers of the highest-quality tyres.

Yokohama also introduced novelties such as cord tyres, balloon tyres used in trucks, as well as the stylish tyres with coloured sides.

As the company is rapidly-growing and extremely innovative, the tyres are offered in 25 - eventually 40 dimensions, precisely tailored to the needs of modern motoring.

    These are extremely quiet tyres

This tyre company are absolutely crap and have outsourced agents who don't give a monkey's. They don't help if an issue arises and won't help speaking from previous experience.

Same experience here with them. The guy at my local centre always complains to me of how much they work and how little they get paid but he has a family and can't leave.

Sorry all, please don't bother, I didn't realise everyone had a formula 1 autocentre near by. . . Silly me. 50953565-siBRa.jpg

Just to say - for 2 of those Yokohama tyres at F1 Autocentres, due to the 10% off on 2 tyres - it comes to £169.84 including fitting and wheel balancing - so approx £85 per tyre. The offer you list doesn't include those as standard and if you wanted fitting with your offer you are paying about an extra £15-£20 per tyre and then there is no mention of if you have to pay for wheel balancing on top of that.

Also the fitting centres you are going to are obviously sub contracted out so you don't necessarily know how good or bad they are likely to be and or what extra charges they may suddenly add. At least I would have thought with F1 Autocentres you have comeback if anything goes wrong. I have never used F1 before so maybe I am wrong on that, but my initial impressions are very positive and the reviews are generally overwhelmingly positive.

There is less risk going with a company such as F1 I would have thought and when you factor in the cost to fitting etc - very little difference in price if you are having 2 tyres replaced. (edited)

Forget that. Go to Formula 1 Autocentres who are doing fabulous deals on tyres. 10% off 2 or 20% off 4. I bought 4 Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres for £268 including fitting and wheel balancing! And these are meant to be fabulous tyres.

Sure, if you are brave enough to use F1

I looked at this review autoexpress.co.uk/pro…023 . The Continental Premium Contact 7 are meant to be amazing, but as I couldn't get them in the size needed for my Polo - I went for the Bridgestone Turanza T005. However, just did a search for them in your size on F1 and those 2 tyres are not coming up for your size.
