Stay well away from Three. They carry on billing when you cancel and don't acknowledge return of router. They have also impacted on my credit score so I'm dragging them to offcom and court.

Did you "cancel" whilst still in contract?

As far as I was aware the router does not belong to you it's just a loan and you have to give it back .
    nonameduser's avatar
Exactly that. They either send or packaging or email you a prepaid returns label

CEX shifts same unlocked router with 2 years warranty at £150 inc VAT, when in stock
3's business unlim SIM is £6/m inc VAT.
    Simple math indicates total over 24m = £294 inc VAT (245 ex-VAT),
plus the annual 4.5% increase on the lesser monthly £5+VAT airtime-only amount,
compared to OPs 4.5% increase on 3x greater monthly £14.58+VAT airtime+hardware amount.

Even cheaper if opting for other 5g routers that CEX has in stock at around £110 inc VAT, examples:
    £110 inc VAT for ZTE MC801A uk.webuy.com/pro…a3b
£115 inc VAT for Huawei 5G CPE Pro (H112-370) uk.webuy.com/pro…03b
    all having 2 years warranty.

How easy is it to get the business unlim SIM for £6 a month?
  4. kalico's avatar
Is that meant to say the total cost over TWO years is £350?

Are these mobile routers? I travel for work might be just what I need.

Yes, I used one between various work places

1 year into this - curious what will happen at end of year 2, even if take a new contract (and expect a new better router at the time) if presume have to faff with returning the existing one. Overall, router rubbish, but network status been solid for most part, whereas Virgin in area of late has been flakey (edited)

Just termed my 2 yr contract without issue in PAC of number and kept router… no recourse or action from three
    Feverdawg's avatar
They actually tell you to keep router? Or you just happen to not have returned it yet? In which would expect invoice later for one

ordered SIM alone, looking for a cheaper router or just a 5G phone to leave one tethering at home all the time, as 5G USB dongles aren't many about and EE one I got is faulty-temperamental, but doesn't work just by providing USB power, needs to have a PC running to enable network sharing.
    Anyone could suggest something?
    Thanks!

There is 5G ZTE MC8001A for 199 on Amazon or 4G Huawei Cube for 54 on Amazon. I am using the cheaper 4G as it doesnt make sense for that huge price difference.

lol what is this, 5g broadband what? What’s the download/upload, does the router have 10Gb nic or modem mode?
    AndyRoyd's avatar
    3G / 4G / 5G cellular broadband.

    Up/down as good/bad as the signal/contention in the area used;
multiple recent separate HUKD posts in the £5+VAT unlim 3 data SIM thread show 3-based cellular network performance, with one user posting speedtest result of
    1460Mbps down; 150Mbps up
    another user 1,100Mbps down.
    another user 1.5Mbps down

just to express my frustration with "3"
got the sim, put it in a phone, as per what letter said and...
    (attempted to register etc)
since 2 o'clock only now got it semi-functioning, will have to go hungry, waste more time to be calling them during tomorrow work break, as "business" support online is not existent.

"instant regret" , I might end up cancelling it all and going back to SMARTY (the same network), as I had £4 more expensive deal, but with all the minutes and texts.
Reminds me of the times when italian took over Voda and litteraly destroyed network and reputation, that it hardly recovered since, (even if it did- wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole), so worse, than "3"- only "positive" (edited)

ive had same problemw ith mine and its not got any network at all. Contacted Three who said it takes 24hrs to be activated but its been well over that now. How did you get it semi-working?

Is anyone having any issues with the notifications not being pushed on the phone while connected to this?
    Atasas's avatar
yes, still don't get notification or acknowledgment it's activated, but it is.
