Does anybody have any experience of this brand or watch? Is it any good? Currently use Fitbit but sick of depleting battery life.

Yup, I've had one for around 18 months. I replaced the plastic band with a steel mesh one, but I've been pretty pleased with it. The main thing I use it for are the steps, sleep and heart-rate tracking and the fact that it's got a reasonable analog dial face. I haven't used the GPS at all apart to test it worked. Battery life with my usage is around 10 days before it needs a charge. The main downside is that it has a plastic cover (not sapphire glass) so scratches fairly easily, but that's to be expected from it's price.

I've had one for over 2 years, bought from Argos for £59.00. It's still going strong apart from the strap which.gave up about 6 months ago. GPS has always worked near flawlessly for me , I usually cycle 3 times a week 100-150 miles and never had a problem apart from the odd delay uploading to Strava. Ive used it for 7hr rides and still plenty of battery left. The only faults for me are the HRM which although great 95% of the time occasionally gives ridiculous readings while cycling. Another thing I'm not sure on is that the battery life is so good I'm not sure how reliable some of the readings are. Are they based on some algorithm or is it from constant use of all the sensors like you woulsd expect?

I've had this watch for over 2 years now and can't fault it one bit, for me the big plus is the battery life and not having to charge it like 9/10 days on one charge and still going strong, the heart rate monitor works well and the sleep facility is very accurate, for instance last night I was woken at 4:45am to my heart racing 128 bpm
When I eventually went off to sleep and checked later this morning all my readings were there and the exact times were accurate

I got an amazfit Bip for that reason. Currently on 32 days since last charge.

I've had the standard (non mini) version of this watch for little over a year (paid £120 back then).

I broadly agree with what others are saying. It's good value for money (especially at this new price). The strap is a bit naff (it split, so I had to change it recently). Heart rate is average, until you start to get sweaty (which is the same problem on most smartwatches), GPS is average (6 mile runs tend to show as 6.25 miles). Battery life is great. Always on screen is great (it shows a low powered version of the selected watchface).

It doesn't run android, which I don't care as all I want is app notifications, heart rate monitor, GPS, with a running mode.

I've got the standard GTS2. It's a nice looking watch with nice screen. GPS is hit and miss. Would say it's not the best fitness watch by any means but as a smart watch it's decent. Not android though

Son 'needs' a watch for running - GPS + music storage so he can listen to music via bluetooth while exercising/ running without the weight of phone the watch needs to be paired with. Understand GTS2 or 4 meet these reqs but GTS2 Mini and other models don't? Other recommendations welcome + others;)

Had one of these for nearly 2 years. Great little thing. Best feature is great battery life compared to apple/samsung. Sleep, steps, and vibration to let you know phone ringing all good. Only downside was strap and case not that rugged.Well, worth the money though. Traded mine in for 100 off anew Samsung.

Was after an Amazfit watch for sub £50 and this ticks all the boxes for me. Sick of having to charge my Pixel watch every day and any OEM watch I've purchased recently has been sluggish and inaccurate with steps. Doesn't have music storage like the GTS 2, but being able to control music on my phone, control my camera and see notifications is good. (edited)

Amazfit software is terrible. I wear a Garmin for battery but I'd take a pixel watch over this anyday.

Is this the same as the [2022 New Version] on Amazon that's £79? amazon.co.uk/Ver…c=1 I'm looking for an inexpensive smartwatch that will track steps, and also allow me to control Spotify whilst listening to it via Bluetooth headphones. Would this be suitable?
    SamJHW's avatar
At a quick glance they look the same. This should be suitable for your requirements of counting steps and controlling a music player on your phone e.g. Spotify.

I think there are more affordable options in the £30-40 if the above are your only requirements though.
