Herbal remedies never worked for me either.

Currently trying "Natrol Advanced Sleep Melatonin" from VitaminGo (not a plug - just that it's not strictly legal in the UK so isn't readily available hence why I mention the shop name). It's 2 layer slow release melatonin, first layer to get you off to sleep, 2nd layer to keep you asleep. (edited)

In my experience, these things are useless. I took 40 of them one night and they were no help whatsoever. Better off taking an antihistamine that makes you drowsy. (edited)

I don't know why people are so keen to try homeopathic/herbal/placebo nonsense for certain problems. Insomnia and IBS being the biggest offenders. Occasional insomnia is so easy to fix(antihistamine as you said) and there are ways to improve long term insomnia that actually work.

Used to take these but a bit of cardio works just as well for me, if not better.

This might help someone but if you're an afternoon napper. Power through until the evening and that's what's helping me sleep better. For some people like me naps are really bad! (edited)

Valerian worked really well for one night and then never again even after months off it. No idea.

Not surprised people can't sleep if they sit on their bumbum staring at hukd on a screen all day.
The best way to improve sleep is to burn a few calories. It doesn't have to be much, even a 30 minute daily walk will help. Any exercise will stimulate the body to create melatonin.

Exercise doesn't work for me either for sleeping, but that's probably because I keep switching between day and night shifts all the time.

Best thing for sleep problems is a £1 Nero triple shot special! (edited)

Great thing about these, you can make them stronger by diluting them in water. Don't forget to flush them down the toilet before throwing your money down the drain
