    You have to touch them if they feel like soft BUT not too soft then that is a good sign they are nice and sweet but if they are so hard then don't buy it as they will not be any good also if they are so soft that is a sign of being bad.

    Oh, I've been to Croatia recently. 1kg of figs is around 3 euros (everything else is as expensive or even more expensive than in the UK). And I mean real sweet and juicy green figs. Unlike those miserable 4 figs in the plastic package that you buy of which at least 3 are uneatable.
