  • 2015 Decanter World Wine Awards Silver Trophy Winner
  • A magnificent and finely-balanced tawny of outstanding richness and complexity.
  • Excellent with soft cheeses such as brie, and a superb dessert wine, particularly with dishes made with coffee or almonds.
  • It is an excellent accompaniment to many desserts. It combines well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It is an excellent compliment for a creme brulee or a plate of wild strawberries. It may also be appreciated on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit.

Taylor's 20 Year Old Tawny is a magnificent, finely-balanced old tawny blend. The wines are selected from among the best red ports produced in the eastern areas of the Douro Valley, including Taylor's own properties, and aged in oak casks. In the 20 Year Old, the fruit has mellowed still further than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy, nutty aromas of ageing are more powerful and intense.

A magnificent and finely-balanced tawny of outstanding richness and complexity. The additional years of ageing produce a fine balance between the rich, raisiny fruit and the nutty, honeyed finish – a taste to linger over.

Established over three centuries ago in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses. It is dedicated entirely to the production of Port wine and in particular to its finest styles.

Above all, Taylor’s is regarded as the benchmark for Vintage Port. Noted for their elegance and poise as well as for their restrained power and longevity, Taylor’s Vintage Ports are blended from the finest wines of the firm’s own quintas or estates.

I don't normally spend more than £10 or so on a bottle of port but treated us to one of these last Christmas and we all loved it. Big difference.I think i paid £32 last time, also in a Sainsbury's deal, so this is a very good price. I've picked a couple up.
