£11.27 for 24 tins, still not buying at that price, Sainsbury's 27p beans are fab

Thanks, will try these cheap beans. Reviews look good.

Heinz will eventually have to give these beans in watery sauce away for free, as so many people have dumped buying them over the past few years and found nicer alternatives. (edited)

You would think with heinz beans for £1.15 a can £3.99 for some tomato sauce £1.70 for a tin of soup people would be avoiding but they love giving heinz their money

Can I unsubscribe anytime I wish?
    Thanks.

Yes, but don't do it until after the first delivery

I genuinely can't taste enough difference between these and own brand (40p etc) to warrant the price difference
    Sum1Sum2's avatar
Aldi and Lidl own brand "premium" beans are 45p now.

Tasteless. Watery. Awful. Buy Branston instead.
    painty's avatar
And Branston have actually allowed their tins to be stacked. Imagine that. Whatever moron at Heinz signed off on not allowing their cans to stack needs removing.
  6. rudey_valentino's avatar
Refuse to get them since they shot prices up while people were struggling **** Heinz
    awesomegiles26's avatar
We had to move to Asda own value ones. Took awhile to find ones we liked, but asdas were out favourite. At 28p per ton can't complain, not even tempted by this Heinz deal
  7. Jackalb's avatar
I switched to Aldi beans after these rocketed in price and actually prefer the Aldi ones. Almost bought these though and a decent price compared to supermarkets.
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
We switched to Aldi when the price of Branston Beans went up, I can't tell the difference tbh.
  8. gadger's avatar
Just buy Aldi beans, made at the same factory, slightly different sauce ingredients.
    Fk-FirstBus's avatar
Not the same taste at all

    £5.25 for 12….. 2x 6 packs, 10% voucher plus 15% s&s. Bargain, have some heat
  10. thenormalone's avatar
I don't see how these are still sought after after Heinz changed the recipe a couple of years ago and they became tasteless. I stick with Aldi own brand beans which taste much better at less than half the price but I wonder did Heinz have a change of heart and revert back to the old recipe?
    Fk-FirstBus's avatar
Aldi ones taste like acidic tomato paste, and have a watery consistency, can't eat them myself
  11. thethreestripes's avatar
I used to be a Heinz snob but the way they've inflated their prices I don't buy Heinz anything full stop. Btw Asda smart price or whatever there called yellow label stuff are miles better at a fraction of the cost.

£11.27 for 4 back to what I was paying in February.

About the same as Sainsburys Nectar half price deal a couple of weeks ago.
  13. SamJHW's avatar
Good value for Heinz, on S&S for £11.27 for 24 tins, so 47p a can. Similar price to "standard" own brand, value ones being 27p in Morrisons & Sainsbury's (priced matched to Aldi).

With recent vouchers £18 off £60 (max 30%) in Sainsburys and £25 off £70 (max 35.7%). Taking the own brand beans down to about 33p a tin or value down to 19p a tin.
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Yep, own brands cost less, and they taste nicer.
  14. WendyAndHerBloke's avatar
much prefer the Sainsbury's reduced sugar and salt beans, 4 for £1.70

the tins are actually full of beans, not half filled with liquid like Heinz get away with (edited)
  15. deanos's avatar
good luck getting these delivered with no dents, last delivery over 50% of the tins were damaged

    Thanks for posting, very helpful.
Proof the sauce is too watery, it's soaked into the cardboard leaving practically no residue.
I'll give them a miss. (edited)

    £4.99 when I looked.
  18. TristanDeCoonha's avatar
If you can't get this, then
    B&M. £4

If you had bought discounted gift vouchers for Amazon then that is another 3 to 5%, along with any of the £5 bonuses for performing certain actions can bring this down even better. 24 cans for me comes to about £3.23.

If you prefer Branston, then Sainsbury's 6 pack is £3.70, so 6p per can more, without the bulk buy, plus Nectar points or discount, plus 4% discount if you bought gift cards (edited)
  19. stamfordblue's avatar
No thanks.Sounds like the 27p Sainsbury ones are better.
I know Aldi Corale ones are.Out of stock atm though.

My order placed yesterday was supposed to arrive by 9pm today (pfff as if😏) Well it never arrived and now being told it’ll be tomorrow… or the day after… and if it doesn’t arrive i can ask for a refund. What happens if it doesn’t arrive in that time scale i ask for a refund and get it… and then it arrives.? Do i get to eat the beans or not

I have Prime so I can't say about how it would be without it...also different Amazon agents differ in their helpfulness 😞

£11.80 with max S&S but watch them claim it’s a mis-price again and cancel the orders Cheers though Op for sharing (edited)
    fr3dy77_sp33d's avatar
Don't know about you, but I rarely find amazon cancel due to misprice. In fact, I think it's never did (edited)
  23. BrianButterfield's avatar
Why I stopped using Sub and Save, they tailor the price to you so you receive no benefit from it in the long run. So take the deal initially and then cancel straight away.
  24. Tianfat's avatar
Stick with unbranded if you can especially if there's not much of a difference. So many companies have become too greedy and should get what they deserve.

Once upon a time, there lived a man who had a terrible passion for baked beans.

He loved them, but they always had an embarrassing and somewhat lively reaction on him. One day he met a girl and fell in love. When it was apparent that they would marry, he thought to himself, "She'll never go for me carrying on like
that," so he made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans, and shortly after that they got married.

A few months later, on the way home from work, his car broke down and since they lived in the country, he called his wife and told her he would be late because he had to walk. On is way home, he passed a small cafe and the wonderful aroma
    of baked beans overwhelmed him.
Since he still had several miles to walk he figured he could walk off any ill affects before he got home. So he went in and ordered, and before leaving had three extra large helpings of baked beans. All the way home he "putt-putted". He
"putted" down one hill and "putt-putted" up the next. By the time he arrived home he felt reasonably safe.

His wife met him at the door and seemed somewhat excited. She exclaimed, "Darling, I have the most wonderful surprise for you for dinner tonight!" She put a blindfold on him, and led him to his chair at the head of the table and made him promise not to peek. At this point he was beginning to feel another one
coming on. Just as she was about to remove the blindfold, the telephone rang.
She again made him promise not to peek until she returned, and she went to answer the phone. While she was gone, he seized the opportunity. He shifted his weight to one leg and let go. It was not only loud, but ripe as a rotten egg. He had a hard time breathing, so he felt for his napkin and fanned the air about him. He had just started to feel better, when another urge came on. He raised his leg and "rrriiiipppp!" It sounded like a diesel engine revving, and smelled worse.
To keep from gagging, he tried fanning his arms a while, hoping the smell would dissipate. Things had just about returned to normal when he felt another urge coming. He shifted his weight to his other leg and let go. This was a real blue
ribbon winner; the windows rattled, the dishes on the table shook and a minute later the flowers on the table were dead. While keeping an ear tuned in on the conversation in the hallway, and keeping his promise of staying blindfolded, he carried on like this for the next ten minutes, farting and fanning them each
time with his napkin. When he heard the "phone farewells" (indicating the end of his loneliness, and freedom) he neatly laid his napkin on his lap and folded his hands on top of it. Smiling contentedly, he was the picture of innocence when his wife walked in.
Apologizing for taking so long, she asked if he had peeked at the dinner. After assuring her he had not, she removed the blindfold and yelled, "Surprise!"

To his shock and horror, there were twelve dinner guests seated around the table for his surprise birthday party.

I usually buy Aldi's own brand at 8p per corner and haven't looked back since..

    Kindest regards

    "8p per corner"
Great price for those beans that double as tyres - what size rims do they fit?

    Branston>Waitrose>Morrisons>Lidl Newgate>Aldi Corale>Sainsbury's>Tesco>dirty dish water>Heinz

Haven't reviewed Asda beans since I dislike that particular supermarket.

Voted hot for the brand snobs though.
    Jace_Phoenix's avatar
    You missed HP
But i agree with you, I would rather eat supermarket own brand than these. It's mostly liquid in the can anyway
8 quid for beans..... stone cold from me (edited)

I used to prefer them. Even ate them cold in the summer, straight from the tin

Funny how the Heinz price rises coincided with their quality drops, just as my budget/tastes switched to own-brand cheapies
