DIY: Bathroom ceiling paint recommendation

Hello everyone

Moved in last year and bathroom ceiling paint has started to peel off and had spots of mould
So we scraped it off ready to repaint

Any recommendations for which paint to use to paint ceiling?
It gets quite damp and lots of condensation on surfaces during showers

I’ve had a similar problem in the bathroom and ended up using this

Been about a year so far and still looks perfect

I love perma-white Have done several rooms in it, still look great 3yrs later. If you get it from certain retailers you can get it tinted, so dont have to be stuck with white (i know decorating warehouse and brewers both do it)

I'd work on reducing the moisture in bathroom.

    Open windows, install vents etc.

Yep otherwise the problem is still present and this situation will just reoccur

It's more important to have plenty of insulation above the bathroom ceiling to stop surface getting cold in the winter. Causes condensation to form on surface.
Zinsser Perma White is good paint (edited)

Use an exterior paint such as Sandtex, smooth not textured. Some can contain fungicides but seeing as it's a ceiling you wont be coming into contact with it. And ventilate the room as much as you can

I used dulux easycare bathroom but that is startimg to peel too. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come on to advise if a better paint is needed or a specific technique.

We recently had our bathroom refurbished including a new ceiling put in. Our bathroom was always a mould magnet on the ceiling so used Zinsser Perma White mould paint and we haven't had any mould since the bathroom was done. It's a bit more expensive, but so worth it.

ain't the product, you need to sort out the airflow in the room

Looks like you have stripped back to bare plaster - if so, need to mist coat it first.
