Is this worth waiting to see if it drops again eg on prime day
Firstly, does it have to be a laptop? Have you considered a desktop manchine. It'll either by massively cheaper for the same kind of specs, or if you spend the same it'll be a lot more powerful. Also a better experience generally, way more expandable with a longer service life, a lot more robust etc. too.
And of course laptops are very prone to damage, especially with kids.
