Problem paying with Amazon gift card balance?

I have noticed that anything I purchase - isnt letting me pay with my gift card balance - its standard messege on payment screen under gift card payment option -
Your gift card balance can’t be applied to orders that contain Amazon.com or Visa or Mastercard gift cards, or collectable coins.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Yes same problem and also members in another group are having the same problem too

Just finished chat with agent and apparently they are trying to fix the problem and asked me to try in 24hours.
I said, that bad - there are plenty lightning deals that may go - then he came back and said that please try in 2 hours and if it doesn't work come back again.
Oh well. Lets see when can they fix it.

Yes I've been having a problem paying with my gift card balance for a few days. The tick box option to pay with gift card has simply disappeared. The only way I can get my orders to go through is to pay with a credit card.

I have managed to find a workaround after placing each order. If you go into the details of the order there should be a message at the top giving your gift card balance and the option to apply it to that order.
